A large and elegant European silver goblet of modern design by Wilhelm Binder of Schwabisch Gmund (Germany), established in 1869. This goblet apparently dates c1900-10. It measures 8-3/4" (24cm) in height, and measures 4-1/4" (just under 11 cm) across the rim. It weighs approximately 227 grams. It is stamped with the German post-1886 crescent moon and crown mark, 835 WTB and has a company number of 73123 and a small punch mark we could not make out...

Two Gaudy Welsh ironstone pitchers by Allentons with gold gilt accents on the dark royal blue. Both are in excellent condition. They measures 5.75 inches and 5 inches high. Can be sold separately. Large $185, small $165.

A set of eight hand painted porcelain plates with scenic views as listed below. The lips with a peach ground and some gilding. Located in the center of each plate is the hand painted scene. The pattern number “833” and the location, painted in script in red enamel, is on the back of most of them. They were made and decorated in Britain, possibly Aynsley, circa 1880. 8 7/8 inches (20.3 cm) diameter.

Rare glass master salt cellar in the shape of a flower with a matching spoon in the shape of a shovel. It is in excellent condition. Besides being used for salt, it would be good for powdered sugar or any powdered substance that you would want to dispense. A terrific piece for the collector, it also make for an unusual and noticeable stand alone decorative item. Measures about 4.25" long, 1.75" high, 3.25 inches across.

Two Milchglas or Lattimo mugs made in Bohemia or South Germany c 1800. Both are gifts of friendship: one with Zum Andenken (Souvenir), the other Aus Achtung (Out of Respect), the dedications surrounded by wreaths of roses and other flowers. Milchglas / Lattimo was à la mode from the mid-18th to the early 19th century, made to compete with porcelain and faience and often enameled in Rococo style. Height "3 ¼ / 8 and "3 ½ / 8.5 cm...

A very nice European Silver Cosmetic Box with perfectly fitting lid (gilded/vermeil inside). Base and cover have 800 stamp and hallmark. Condition: good and nice weight. Top has raised/stylized initials VB. Size: H. 9 cm. x 8.5 cm. top diameter x 7.5 cm. bottom diameter.

A nice stoneware ewer in an unusual form by Doulton Lambeth. The bulbous body is decorated with raised flowers and foliage against a cobalt blue ground, while the foot and long tapering neck are finished in a simple pattern of incised rings highlighted with chocolate brown borders. The inside of the foot is stamped with the mark used 1891-1902 and also with the artist's mark which appears to be a conjoined "JH", "HL" or possibly just an ornate "H"...

Very rare Staffordshire figural inkwell in the form of two birds nesting amongst flowers. A beautifully modeled and painted tulip stands upright between the birds. It is possible that the tulip was intended as a candlestick, because the quill holders are in the base near the birds' tails. Origin: England, ca. 1870. Size: 2-3/4" diameter; 3" tall. Condition: excellent, no damage or repairs.

Lovely round tray with raised grapes surrounding the edges and on the handles. It has a 15" diameter and is in excellent condition. It is marked on the bottom with hallmarks, the name Crescent, and the number 1097.

Lozenge shaped porcelain serving dish from an English dessert service, decorated with an ornate gilded scroll border and with a central hand-painted reserve of summer flowers. Unmarked. Circa 1815-1820. Size: 11" x 7.5" Condition is excellent; no chips or lines; hardly any wear to the gilding or flower painting. Possibly Spode or Coalport. An 18th century beautiful and uncommon Dr. Wall Worcester coffee cup of fluted French shape with a classical urn, swags, grapes and other fruit hand painted on it. The colors are vibrant, and the condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. The gilding is also in wonderful shape, with only a few scattered traces of loss on the rim, visible only under magnification. The cup is 2 5/8 inches tall, with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches.

English lozenge-shaped porcelain serving dish from a dessert service, embellished with a wide, elaborate gilded scroll border surrounding a central hand painted bouquet of summer flowers. Unmarked. Circa 1815-1820. Possibly Spode or Coalport. Condition: some minor wear to the gilding on the rim; no cracks or lines. Size: 10 3/4" x 7 3/8". Other pieces available from this service.

Very rare sterling silver oyster ladle in Whiting's classic 1880 "Bead" pattern. The simplicity of the handle decoration is relieved by the ruffled edge of the bowl. It's simplicity enables the pattern to work with a wide range of other American Colonial-inspired patterns. The oyster ladle form is quite rare, as only the most complete silver services ever had such serving pieces. Hallmarked with Whiting's early hallmark and "Pat Appd For" (indicating an early date).

An interesting antique bronze figure, Roman style, possible after antiquity, likely 19th. century AD.

A good bronze, likely of the god Herculas (now missing the club), with fine patina and mounted by way of a brass pin. The mounting is old and the collection whence it came is old too.

We're not certain about the age of this piece so we're selling it as antique but not as ancient.

An American Victorian Oak Lift Top Stationary or File Box; Slant Front with Pigeon Holes and a Brass Plate in Front. Dimensions 10" high x 17" wide. Circa 1890. Very good condition
