A pair of Royal Doulton Art Deco vases attributed to designer Bessie Newbery. In perfect condition, these vases are well suited to any home including mid-century modern where they can add a bit of interest. Dates between 1902 -1922 and measures 8 inches high.

A small Bilston patch box, enamel on copper, mid-18th century, in a design somewhere between Rococo and Louis XVI: the outer shape softly rounded, the pattern more strict, of diaper type, textile-like. Patches, often in black silk, were used to conceal scars or blemishes from smallpox or other diseases. At the time Bilston, a town in West Midlands was famous for their enamel boxes. Width "1 ¾ / 4.8 cm. Condition: enamel flakes to lid and base (cf. pics).

Sugar bowl and lid, an early piece from the Boch manufacture in Luxembourg. Urn-shaped, with a stylized tulip border, the sides with mask “handles”, all in the Empire style of the late 18th / early 19th century. The base with the impressed circle mark BOCH A (LUXEMBOURG) that was in use 1813-1835. Height "5 ¼ / 13.3 cm. Condition: bowl with hairlines, repair to the lid.

A sturdy little earthenware salt, French, c 1760-80. Octagonal and decorated with a diaper pattern and cornflowers in a rustic variation of the Louis XVI style. Width "3/ 7.5 cm, height "1 ½ / 3.5 cm. Condition: a small area rough and unglazed, a mishap caused during fabrication (cf. pic 2).

A pair of very detailed molded porcelain figures of standing pigeons. The glaze is slightly blue/green. On close examination it is clear that though they were made from the same mold, the details of the lines in the feathers, breasts and the bases were done by hand. A slight tint of orange shows through thin spots in the glaze on the bases. They are an identical pair rather than an opposing pair. A three-color overshot coverlet with a pattern of snowballs and stripes on the dark ground side. The border on three sides is wavy lines and the fringe is a continuation of the white warp threads on the bottom and the red and blue weft threads on the sides. The warp is cotton and the weft is wool. The seam down the middle indicates that it was done on a narrow loom, though the sophisticated design and the three colors suggest that it was woven by a professional. This pair of earthenware vases was produced in France by Paul Milet in the 1890s. They measure 8 3/8 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 ½ inches. The decoration is the epitome of Art Nouveau design. Anemones bend and sway while turquoise dragonflies hover overhead. Clover-like turquoise colored leaves encircle the bases of the two vases. The decoration is in relief simulating cloisonné. The colors are dazzling. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain trinket box was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1900. It has a diameter of 3 inches and is 1 ¾ inches high. It is made of the finest porcelain with a high gloss glaze. A very rare pair of Antique European late 19th century cold painted spelter sculptures on elaborated square bases. The finely and realistically modelled sculptures depict a Chinese man and a Chinese woman in national costumes. The man is wearing a long green robe with gold swirl motifs, grey Balloon Pants and red shoes on his feet, the hair is braided and drawn back under a black hat. His left hand is grasping a Chinese musical stringed instrument (Erhu)...

This pair of porcelain goblets or chalices was produced in England by Royal Worcester in the late 1870s. The mark goes off the edge of the porcelain not showing the date letter assigned to the year they were produced. The famous Worcester artisan, George Owen, was the first to perfect the art of double walled porcelain. The chalices are 7 ¾ inches high with a diameter of 3 5/8 inches at the opening. The outer layer of porcelain on the bodies is delicately pierced in honeycomb fashion...

A Pair of superb quality antique, 1900 A.D. English Sterling Silver Gilt Anointing Spoons. These are replicas of the spoons from the Edward VII and his wife Alexandra Coronation Regalia, as The King and The Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Empire, on August 9, 1902. Antique 18th century, circa 1750 AD, Hungarian Anabaptist faience jug from Stupava (German: Stampfen; Hungarian: Stomfa), a town in western Slovakia.

A charming hooked rug depicting a woman holding a flower and sitting in a chair beside a large kettle over an open fire. The wall behind her shows a painting and a window through which can be seen a church. Rugs of this size and this period showing an interior scene are quite uncommon.

The Vũng Tàu shipwreck is a shipwreck that was found in the South China Sea off the islands of Côn Đảo about 100 miles from Vũng Tàu, Vietnam in 1692. On Monday January 3, 1752, the Dutch East India Company, (Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie, VOC) ship Geldermalsen, struck a reef on her return journey to the Netherlands and sank in the South China Sea. Of the crew 32 survived and 80 went down with the ship and her cargo of tea, raw silk, textiles, dried wares, groceries, lacquer and porcelain. The "Nanking cargo" is the modern name given to the porcelain cargo.

This tiny handsewn patch work quilt has just on square that has a little hole. One of the long sides the edge has a bit out of it, maybe it caught on something. The sewing is somewhat unskilled and appears to have been a labor of love rather than perfection. It has a lot of charm and nice enough to be uses on a doll bed or hung on a wall.
