American stoneware 2 gallon ovoid jug by Cowden and Wilcox, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Circa 1865. Decorated with hand painted cobalt blue floral spray. Size: 14 in. ht. Very minor flake to top rim and a tight firing line to one side of top of handled (not damage but made during manufacturing) and fine tiny burst bubbles in cobalt glaze, also part of manufacturing process. This set of 6 covered chocolate cups or pot de crèmes was produced in England in the mid 19th century. They are unmarked so we cannot identify them specifically. They are 4 1/2 inches high including the lids. They are made of fine bone china. They are decorated with wide panels of bright orange. There are flowers and gilded leaves within these panels. This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1890. The plate measures 9 1/8 inches in diameter. The fine bone china is decorated with a Persian inspired design. The pale pink ground color is decorated with elaborate raised gilding. There are burgundy cut-outs outlined in beaded gilding and white enamel jewels. The design is dazzling. Condition: There is minor wear to gilding on the rim that does not affect the beauty for display.

A superb quality and extremely large for type decorative brass dish or Baptismal dish, as it's also called, Nuremburg, 16th.-17th. century.

With it's highly unusual size of 52 cm. and the fine execution, this dish comes from a very rich family estate. The dish shows a high-born renaissance lady in the center with well executed incised concentrhic decoration at the fan. Lovely deep black patina on the backside.

Set of 4 George V sterling silver place card holders. Made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths in London in 1911. Each: Round gilt ring inset with cast animal head. Two holders have fox heads and two have hound heads. Prey and predator have long pointed snouts and red glass bead eyes. In original leather-bound case with silk lining and fitted velvet. A beautifully rendered watercolor and pencil portrait of a woman done by Jane Anthony Davis, more commonly known as J.A. Davis. The sitter, as was usual with Davis' portraits, is dressed in black, with color being reserved for decorative objects, such as books, flowers, or jewelry, as in this case. What is highly unusual is that Davis signed very few of her works, and on this piece, on the cardboard insert behind the painting, is written "Caroline Mathilda Brown Wife of Nicholas Brown"...

A Georgian sterling silver large footed master salt dish dated 1817. This simply splendid high quality English Georgian silver open salt dish is fully hallmarked for London 1817. This 3-5/8" diameter and 1-7/8" high bowl has fine high relief and rather unusual rim decoration of a lion head alternating with a shell, surrounded by flowers, with ornate floral feet. It retains the original gilding on the bowl as well. It is stamped with the maker's mark for William Elliot or William Eaton of London...

Antique, Byzantine, 16th/17th-century horn cross pendant, pressed in relief, with rounded finials and a suspension loop.

The cross depicts the Holy Trinity; God the Father with Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

A fire polished early Galle vase of orange florals on a colorless ground. Th \e top of the vase has a tricorner rim. The 3 3/4 inch tall vase is engraved with a mark used during the period from 1890 to 1894.

A fine double series opaque twist (DSOT) wine glass with a conical bowl leading into a stem with a central gauze surrounded by two heavy spiral threads. The bowl has molded fluting in the lower three quarters.

The glass is in very good condition with no cracks, hazing, or restoration. There is a tiny shallow chip under the foot rim, which can be discerned at around 1:30 in the last photo. There is an unimportant small inclusion in the upper section of the bowl shown in the first photo. Height ...

Measuring just 4.5 inches in length, this tiny 19th century grain or flour scoop from the esteemed Pennsylvania Robacker Estate is in fine, all-original condition! No breaks or other damage. A tiny spot of very superficial rust here and there that may be removed, if so desired, by polishing with a clear paste wax. A sweet accent piece for the country kitchen!

Most likely French, 19th century, snuff/pill box, However, it clearly dates to the late nineteenth century. The lug and ribbed banding on the metal hinge, as well as the loose hand-painted nature of the lid identify this box as a nineteenth century creation.
