A very fine berry or casserole spoon in John R. Wendt's "Medallion" pattern. The handle features an oval reserve centered with a medallion profile of the Greek goddess Pallas Athena. The elongated bowl is beautifully scalloped. The back of the medallion has a period monogram "A" and the stem is marked with the retailer's mark for Ball, Black & Co. and with "925" for sterling. Wendt did not use his own hallmark in this period.

Imagine this little guy hopping across your table providing everyone with salt or pepper! He is intricately detailed all the way down to his feet. His head unscrews to refill salt or pepper. He stands up well and does not wobble. He is marked "800" on his tail and was probably made sometime around 1910. He measures approximately 3" long and 2.5" tall and is in excellent condition.

A lovely large brass alloy / bronze vessel, dating to the late 17th. cent. probably 1680-1710, workshop Nürenberg and maker was Johann Windhösel - Leuchtmacher and cappucine munk in the city in that period.

Very pretty hand chased sterling basket by Whiting Mfg. Co. Basket measures 3 3/4" wide and 2 3/8" tall ( excluding the handle). This Aesthetic Movement basket has a lovely detailed foliate motif (morning glory?), a fluted rim, and a gilded interior. The twisted handle is attached to a beautiful curved silver application and rests on the side of the basket. There is a monogram on the back. Circa 1870. Excellent condition.

This is a very interesting piece created by an early artist very skilled in needlework: an oval shaped map of England and Wales and small parts of Ireland, Scotland and France, the oval measuring approximately 19 1/2" by 17" (about 27" by 22 1/2" in the vintage gold frame). An elegant Art Nouveau glass vase decorated with enameled poppies. The blossoms are worked in shades of cream, yellow, rose and violet, while the foliage is stained a reddish-purple and highlighted with complex lacy gilding. The upper rim is decorated with a band of stained and gilt flowers, as well. The vase is blown in pillar form with an optic paneled design. The workmanship is very fine.
