Hand painted with flowers and delicate tendrils on a matt finish by Mount Washington, this lovely mushroom shaped holder was designed to be used as a sugar shaker or flower holder (Ref: "Mount Washington Art Glass" by Betty B. Sisk, 2003). The background has a pale pink blush on the top and again at the base which fades into a slightly off white background. A versatile piece, it could also be used as a hat or hairpin holder...

Sterling silver ring with a horse shoe motif as its central feature, set in sterling silver, complete with hallmark and maker's mark S & G. Silver jewelry was popularized in the last quarter of the 19th century because of the discovery of the Comstock Lode in Nevada in the 1860's, which had the effect of greatly increasing the world supply of silver.
The band integrates with the central horseshoe and that is how we know it was originally and cleverly designed to be a horse shoe ring...

Wonderful figural statue clock depicting a boy relaxing on his horse by a tree. Made of mixed metals (spelter, tin) and polychromed porcelain giving this a bronze-like finish. Reins intact. A low covered pot with jug ear handles of tin glazed earthenware with underglaze blue decoration on either side and on the top depicting a house near water. These pots were used for soft cheese, sort of like cottage cheese if I understand correctly. The top is loose fitting but the raised lip of the pot fits into a channel in the top. 4 ¼ inches tall by 8 inches across handles. (10 x 20 cm).
Condition: Minor wear to the bottom...
Offered is this superb, hand-painted English vitrified glass vase, made by Richardson around 1850. The vase has Etruscan paintings. It is signed on its polished pontil - Richardson's signature of vitrified glass objects is shown on page 447 of Charles R. Hajdamach's book, 'British glass 1800-1914' (shown in last picture here for your convenience). The vase is 7 inches (18 cm) tall and is in excellent condition.

A pair of elaborate porcelain vases with large leaves in turquoise and gilt opening from a narrow base which rests on four wide feet. The base and feet encrusted with vegetation and occasional flowers which also support a large rising stem on either side with roses on one side and blue, orange garden flowers and possibly small lilies on the other side. Hard to imagine putting flowers that wouldn’t clash into these vases...
