A delightful bronze dresser mirror, the entire frame ornately decorated in the form of two Pierrot figures and a smiling man-in-the-moon. Pierrot was a originally a Comedia dell’Arte character, but in the 18th century, he and the moon became inextricably linked in the French children’s song, “Au Claire de la Lune.” There are a few variations of this mirror; this is the most ornate, with the intricately beveled glass. The detailing of the figures is excellent.

A Rococo style bronze stand for either fire tools or umbrellas. May have been gilt at one time. 28 ½ inches tall and 10 inches across. French 19th century.

Condition: If gilt most of it is gone. Red showing in some of the bronze. Replaced screw holding the base and standard together. Good structural condition without repairs.

4 Clingnancourt hard paste porcelain dinner plates with shaped edge, an elaborate gilt rim, a continuous band of hand painted roses and leaves and in the well of the plate rose sprigs. All with the Clignancourt stencil mark in red on the underside. 9 ¾ inches (25 cm) diameter.

Condition: no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Minor wear

A porcelain two handled small tureen with cover and stand (this could possibly be a very large ecuelle) in a classical urn form with the handles having hooded classical female faces. The form is similar to one sold as Nove at Sotheby’s Zurich November 25, 1992 lot 126, illustrated. This one decorated with hunting horns and flowers on one side and a quiver and bow with flowers on the other. Extensive gilding and floral bands on the top and on the stand. This tea kettle / tea pot was made by the Southington Silver Company Ca 1900. It is quadruplated by Gerssmt.

The stand and kettle have the #2104 marked on the bottom.

The swing handle has the initial FWC engraved.

My picture #4 shows the only place where where I see any wear.

The pin for the hinge on the wick cover needs to be replaced.

It is in spectacular shape for its age.

Eleven(11) English Spode Copeland Porcelain Luncheon Plates, Ca. 1891, 9" diameter, brilliant raised Gold border with Lemon Yellow color wide rim, marked "Spode Copeland"s Chine, England in green and impressed mark along with numbers "R 3716 2" in red on the bottom, in good condition, some gold rubbed off from the old age. The raised Gold decoration is very brilliant and can not show well in the photos. Matching set of Cup and Saucer is listed next listing number.

Beautiful rare antique 18th century French hallmarked 950 pure silver ladle with whale baleen handle hall marked. Silver is in excellent condition some inscect damage to handle. Overall a rare and beautiful piece of antique French silver. Overall length measures 16 inches.

English Papier Mache Wine Bottle Coaster, Ca. 1820, Regency period, 5 1/4" diameter, 1 7/8" high, with lacquer decorated of Red Oak Leaves and Black Acorns continued outside in the solid Gold background, Red leaves outlined in Black, inside shows some black lacquer crazing but not too bad, bottom still retains old Denim. The Lacquer painted surface shows some wears.

American stoneware 2 gallon ovoid jug by Cowden and Wilcox, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Circa 1865. Decorated with hand painted cobalt blue floral spray. Size: 14 in. ht. Very minor flake to top rim and a tight firing line to one side of top of handled (not damage but made during manufacturing) and fine tiny burst bubbles in cobalt glaze, also part of manufacturing process. English, Bilston, 18th century, patch box. These memento boxes were popular at the end of the eighteenth century and frequently given as tokens of friendship and love. Usually oval in shape, but also circular and rectangular, their decoration reflected the popular styles of the day. For example, by the 1790s Neoclassical style swags, doves, hearts, and borders were the most commonly used decoration of the day.
