Victorian Scottish Mauchlineware Pencil Box
Rare mauchline ware pencil box featuring transfers of two different scenes. The lid is decorated with a scene entitled “London Bridge & Cannon St. Station” and the body scene is entitled “Lambeth Palace”. Both transfers are very crisp and detailed. English scenes are much less common than images of Scotland. This piece is also larger than most pieces of mauchlineware.

This porcelain dresser tray was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges around 1914. It has an underglaze mark and an overglaze mark indicating that the porcelain and decoration are from that factory. The tray measures 12 1/2 inches long and 10 1/2 inches wide. The border has an irregular shape so that the length and width are calculated to the best of our ability. The tray was created in the art nouveau style with flowing lines in decoration and shape...
This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890's. The shield mark is under the glaze in a blue green used in the 19th century. The saucer has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches and the cup is 1 7/8 inches high. The saucer is deeper than usual and the cup is can shaped. The set is decorated with tiny garlands of flowers and leaves. A Royal Nippon hand painted white green & gold floral jardiniere plant pot from the 1880s. This beauty measures 8-5/8" across the handles and it stands 4-3/8" tall on its four feet. The decoration includes white flowers with a bit of orange blush on a few petals, pale green ground and a medium green band under the flowers. It is lushly decorated with applied gold and it has lots of beading. The bowl itself if lobed and the handles are forked at the top...
A very artistic Bronze IMPALA running, mounted on a fine Marble base. Size 9" x 5.5" inches (23 cm. x 14 cm.)
This crystal goblet was produced in Bohemia by an unknown company. We believe it was made sometime in the early 20th century. The goblet is 9 3/4 inches high and the diameter is 3 1/2 inches. The decoration is beautifully hand enameled, depicting brightly colored parrots on both sides of the glass. There are also flowers and gilded leaves.
CONDITION: There is a bit of wear to the gilded stems of the flowers.

One is a very interesting, likely Flemish candlestick, in a white bronze or brass alloy, 16th.-17th. century, the other a North-European candlestick of the bell-type.
Size: 254 cm and 21 cm. respectively.
Condition: The bell stick likely a composite of two old parts, the other with soldered repair.

A superb early vault or bankboks key in exceptional condition, still with the original blueing of the steel, late 17th. century.
Though relatively short the key is very substantial in hand and finely made, perhaps by a gunmaker. The stem is short and fluted, hollow made and the bit very sturdy with cut slots. Such a stem was a new invention for security keys in the period, making it much, much harder to copy.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1896. The date cipher indicates this year. The plate measures 8 3/4 inches in diameter. It is made of fine, white bone china. The rim is slightly scalloped with a molded, gadrooned border. It is decorated in Japanese Imari style. Cobalt blue, rust red and bright gold are used in this floral design. The flowers are painted in a stylized, bold manner.
Condition: There is a bit of scuffing to the gilding of the flower...

Hand made Shaker table mat with multi colored field and a wide brown border. The mats were the product of left over scraps from the sewing rooms in Shaker communities. This mat is 13" by 15" and is in excellent condition. C. 1900
Needlework sampler, 22 1/2" by 17" (26" by 20" framed), the design incorporating the alphabet, floral motifs, a heart, four paired figures and a house. Condition is excellent, the colors not faded. This would date to circa 1970's; a so-called "Paragon" kit available at the time. Nice decorative piece for the Americana or folk art setting.
