A beautifully made and proportioned antique wine glass with a multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) stem. The cup bowl has honeycomb molding, and the stem has shoulder and medial knops. With good weight and tooling, this elegant glass stands tall at 6 1/2 inches, with a 2 9/16 inch bowl diameter and a 3 1/8 inch foot diameter. Conical foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

From our European Collection, a fine and elegant 19th century bronze tazza, probably French, featuring well-cast leonine head motifs with twisted serpentine handles, supported upon a tapering circular pedestal base with some very attractive and realistically cast floral motifs. This piece has acquired a nice chocolate-brown patina across most of the surfaces.

A superb example of a triple knopped double series opaque twist(DSOT)antique wine glass. The bell bowl sits above a stem with a 3-ply spiral around a central gauze, and shoulder, medial, and basal knops. 6 1/8" tall, 2 3/8" bowl diameter, 2 7/8" foot diameter.

Unlike many multi-knopped opaque twists, which are poorly fashioned and on the spindly side, this glass is elegantly executed and proportioned.

An antique wine glass of lead composition. This drinking glass has a drawn trumpet bowl and a stem with a trapped tear. The bowl has diamond point engraving with the names Harlord Wright and Frances Chat, followed by the Latin saying flammae felices quas mutuus exitat ardor. Loosely translated, this means How fortunate are those for whom the flames of love burn without change, a charming sentiment for what is a marriage or anniversary glass. A nice heavy glass of good color...

A fine rare Pennsylvania German folk art brides box c. 1830 in very good antique condition with all original antique paint. Old german script reads, "SCHAU ES NUR AN WIE DU WILLST EX IST DES VATERS EBENBILD". ROUGHLY TRANSLATES TO "SEE IT THE WAY YOU WANT IT IS YOUR FATHER'S LIKENESS. Measuring approx. 19 x 12 x 7 inches a Museum quality American folk art piece.

A beautiful and unusual cordial drinking glass, with a round funnel bowl, the lower half of which is fluted. The stem is of the double series opaque twist type, and is comprised of a 17-ply spiral band outside of a lace twist. What makes this a truly special glass is the domed helmet foot, and the overall proportions.

The glass is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration...

An absolutely delightful bronze calling card tray, the center designed with a small frog atop a traditional baroque-style wave. The top edge of the dish has a wonderful scene of four frogs riding big-wheel bicycles along a road. They have quite good balance, as all have their arms crossed. The lead frog is even smoking a pipe. Road markers reading “2Km” and “3Km” mark their progress...

Elegant bronze letter opener depicting the head of Napoleon. Inscribed "d'apress Messonnier". Late 19th or early 20th Century.
Measures: 10" (25.5 cm) length X approx. 1.75" (4.5 cm) at widest point (shoulders).

This is a beautiful, large bronze cherub standing on a rouge marble base from the late l9th century that was made into a lamp. It measures 45" tall to the top of the light. The cherub itself is 20" tall and it stands on a marble base that is 10 1/2" tall. It is in beautiful condition, the cherub's arms are pinned where they should be and its a beautiful addition to any home. I can find no artist name or stamps on the piece, but it is a great 19th century sculpture.

A beautifully executed English lead wine glass with a round funnel bowl engraved and polished with a butterfly, grapes, and vines. A straight hollow stem leads to a domed and folded foot with a rough pontil. An almost identical example is shown in Plate 78g of Haynes.

An English Cut Crystal Inkwell with a Silver Top; Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1904. Makers mark indistinct. Dimensions; 3" square base and 3" high. Very good condition.

A finely detailed cast bronze jewel box, the cover decorated with a scene of Don Quixote astride his horse followed by his loyal Sancho Panza on his donkey. The end panels feature bas relief images of Cervantes flanked by cherubs, and the back panel a bas relief of Don Quixote wearing an armored helmet. Cherubs and dolphins decorate the front. The interior is lined in a bright red velvet. The box retains its original key and the lock is in working order...

A wine rinser, or washer, in a deep Bristol green color; unusual in that it is the single-lipped form as opposed to the normal type with two lips; 3 1/2" tall, 4 1/2" diameter

Extremely rare pair of Victorian cast iron flamingo garden ornaments. Dating from the late 19th century, these flamingos are exceptional. I've seen many later versions in concrete or plastic, but never another pair this old or made of cast iron. These birds appear to be enjoying their third or fourth layer of paint, but the newest layer appears to be a good 50 years old. The outermost and innermost layers are nearly the same color, with an intervening layer of softer pink...
