Antique true linen homespun table mat in a deep indigo blue and a natural unbleached white. The mat is 12" square and has just the slightest age discoloration in one corner, see photos. This is a wonderful very early example. Circa 1830

A stunning American brilliant cut glass carafe or water bottle featuring and an unusual shaped body. It is in excellent condition measuring 8" high and 7.5" diameter. This is a wonderful piece for the collector and would also be a great wedding gift.

Beautiful jasperware wall plaque of a winged lady with a shephard's staff entitled "Pastorale" and signed Stephan Finding and dated 1886. It has very high relief, and the detail is exquisite. This beautiful plaque is one of a pair. The other is also on this web site. They each measure 13" tall x 8" wide in the frame, and 10 1/2" tall x 6" wide without. They are in wonderful condition. They are each priced individually.

A fine and early Dr. Wall Worcester sauce boat, of cos lettuce leaf form. This uncommon and molded example has a looped stem handle, and is decorated inside and out with scattered flower sprigs and insects, finished with raised fruit near the handle juncture. A similar example is shown in S. Spero and J. Sandon, "Worcester Porcelain 1751-1790, The Zorensky Collection", 1996, p. 120, no. 88...

These porcelain soup cups and saucers were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1888 and 1896. They were produced especially for the high end retailer Davis, Collamore & Co. of New York. The saucers have a diameter of 5 ½ inches. The cups are 2 ¼ inches high, the opening diameter is 3 2/4 inches and they are 5 ½ inches from handle to handle. The cups have a scalloped pedestal base, are quatrefoil in shape and have molded texture to the porcelain...

The frame on this ornate bride's basket was made by the Wilcox Silver Co. circa 1880's. The frame holds a beautiful robin's egg blue satin glass basket with touches of cranberry around the double ruffled edge. The frame has a twisted rope handle with an ornate decoration on the top. These baskets were traditional wedding gifts in the Victorian era. The bowl has no chips, cracks, or repairs and is 10" in diameter...

Two sterling silver dresser items. Includes: 1) Gorham Sterling oblong dresser box. Monogrammed in reserve on lid "GMS". Marked underneath for Gorham, "Sterling", and "B19". 5" x 1-1/2" wide. 2) Sterling tray marked with an "L" in a triangle and "Sterling". Possibly La Pierre. 6" x 2-3/4". Approximately 3.69 troy ounces total. CONDITION: Light surface scratches from use.

This porcelain tray was produced in France by Haviland Limoges around 1900. We believe that the porcelain blank was sold white ware to a decorator who hand painted it. The tray measures 11 1/8 inches long and 8 3/4 inches wide. The porcelain blank has a scalloped edge. The ground color blends from deep green, to teal green to yellow. There are raspberry vines trailing across the tray. The flowers, berries and foliage are professionally painted. The colors are bright and vivid...

Circa 1880 French bronze champleve enamel inkwell with delicately hand-painted bird scenes. It sits on 4 bun feet and is in excellent condition. All enameling is intact with the darkest red color being a beautiful clear wine red (which tends to look a darker/duller in our photos). This lovely inkwell measures 7 inches across and 3" high.

Garniture containing brooch and long earrings made of gold with rubies, pearls and details of enamel.
Marvelous assembly with a great deal of movement. Possibly Russian, circa 1800 (there are no visible seals or markings) and is in its original box.

Pair of oval silver salts, clean and simple design with straight sides and a classical border of stylized leaves (kymation) around the rim. Early 20th century, with Swedish import hall marks and possibly by Bernhard Hertz whose company was based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Length "2/ 5,5 cm. No liners. Condition: fine.

An antique watercolor painting of an early Maine farm house with out buildings. It is a modest setting but with a very neat and tidy welcoming look. It is 6 by 9" and with mat and frame is 9 3/4" by 13". It show lines where is was folded at one time. I have not had it out of the frame. ( I bought this in an estate sale in Maine so I am assuming it is Maine but it doesn't have to be.)

Art Deco sterling silver box. Made by Henry Matthews in Birmingham in 1927. Square with straight and plain sides. Cover hinged, tabbed, and chamfered. On top parcel gilt with engine-turned ornament with wavy lines between honeycomb; sizes have diaper in trapezoidal frames. Cedar-lined interior; open leather-lined bottom. Fully marked. Very good condition with some gilding loss.

An unrecorded and possibly unique antique English composite stem wine glass. The upper portion of the drawn trumpet bowl leads into an extended plain bowl base. This is above a double series opaque twist stem, comprised of an extremely wide spiral tape outside of a pair of spiral tapes. Completing the rarity of this glass are a shoulder and medial knop...

A 19th Century Staffordshire Earthenware Jug depicting Admiral Nelson. There is a similar example in the collection of the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 28.6cm (11.25inches) high.

An elegant second standard (800/1000 pure silver) French tastevin. The bowl is engraved with repousse grape clusters and leaves in the 18th century style, but also with the more traditional raised “perles” and “coupules” seen in 19th century examples. The combination of the two is quite unusual. The handle is in the form of two snakes grasping an apple between their jaws—an element thought to stem from the Garden of Eden and intended to remind drinkers of temptation...
