A very rare caneware tureen in the form of a cabbage with a mother rabbit and 3 bunnies peeking out of the lid. The cabbage with tureen rests on a matching plate. In very good antique condition, this item was actually used in its earlier days. Worth noting is that all the color in the rabbits eyes is still intact. Designed and potted by Ferdinand Burgard for Egmondville Pottery in Onterio, Canada, the underside of the tureen is impressed “10” and the letters “FB”. Dates circa 1850...

Three child’s plates with moulded double daisy borders, transfer printed in black, Victorian, 1840’s. Impressed anchor mark and London, probably made by John Carr in Northumberland for a London retailer (cf. discussions on the internet about potteries using this mark in the early Victorian era). One plate with a lady and a little girl in a trellised garden, the other two plates with scenes from a series called Juvenile Companions. Diameter "8 ¼ / 21 cm. Condition: fine.

A hand wrought sterling silver desk set from F. Walter Lawrence, probably in collaboration with Gustav Manz. The desk pad measures about 22" by 15". Silver inkwell box measures about 5 1/2" by 3" by 3 1/4" and weighs over a pound without the glass inkwells. Silver pen tray measures 7 7/8" by 3 1/4". Signed on bottom of pen tray, as shown. Condition is very good, except for chips on the glass inkwells. Fine quality and rare.

This early very beautiful Civil War era capelet is a rich reddish brown calico made with the finest cotton fabric that looks like it might be homespun. The workmanship is the best. The capelet is 14” back of neck to bottom and is 10” front down to bottom and 24” spread out. Circa 1860 and excellent condition and Museum quality.

An extremely large, beautiful, and fine English wine glass, elegant in its simplicity. The bucket bowl sits above a stem of the double series opaque twist type, which has a pair of spiral threads outside of a central gauze.

Conical foot with a rough pontil. Good color and tool marks, with no condition issues. The height is 7 5/8", with a bowl diameter of 3" and a foot diameter of 3 3/8". Glasses of this size are quite uncommon in this period.

Victorian brooch or pin, a bunch of fruit an d flowers made up of Gutta Percha. This dark brown material, a predecessor of bakelite - was first introduced in the great Crystal Palace exhibition in 1851 and was often used in mourning jewelry pieces after the death of Queen Victoria’s husband, Prince Albert, in 1861. Made from the sap of a Malayan tree. Width " 1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: a leaf or two missing under the biggest fruit (cf. pics).

Art Nouveau deep turquoise Czechoslovakian majolica porcelain centerpiece by Eichwald. One small old chip at foot (see last photo), it is considered to be in very good condition. The bottom is marked with "Eichwald". Measures 13.25 inches across and about 6 inches high. Circa 1910.

A Howard Sterling Co. 4 piece brush and mirror set from the 1890s. This high relief, decorative personal grooming set consists of the 10 x 5" hand mirror with beveled glass, the 9-1/4 x 3" hair brush, the 5-5/8 x 1-3/4" small clothes or shoulder brush and the 7 x 2-1/2" large clothes brush. This vanity or dresser set matches, it has the Howard marks, STERLING, 925/1000 and a patent date of 1892 (PAT. '92.)...

A superb quality very large pottery figure of a male attendant or official, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1400-1500 AD.

The figure is placed on a high hexagonal plint and wears a fine two-colour blue and turquoise glazed robe. The unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black and white. Finely painted facial details.

The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Chelsea between 1756 and 1769. It has a gold anchor painted over the glaze. There are many copies of the gold anchor mark used through the decades but we guarantee that this cup and saucer is authentic. The saucer has a diameter of 4 5/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The ground color is burgundy. Reserves of hand painted flowers decorate both pieces. This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden Studio in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 3 1/4 inches high without the handle. It was probably used to serve hot chocolate. The cup features an Empire style handle. The set is hand painted with cartouches containing Watteau scenes in Meissen style. A dark blue printed soup plate depicting in the center Saint Catherine’s hill in Surrey with fishermen and a boat on the River Wye. The back marked with an impressed Clews mark. Well printed and clear images. 8 ¾ inches diameter, 1 ¾ inches tall.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. A few minor scratches in the center of the bowl. Slight discoloration on the back.

A common form of pitcher made by the Tucker factory in Philadelphia around 1830. It is unmarked as is often true for Tucker, but the form is theirs, the decoration typical of their floral work and the gilding similar to other Tuccker pitchers. 9 3/8 inches (24 cm) tall.
