Decorated Meissen Porcelain made in Dresden, Germany. The cup and saucer both depict a man and woman in 18th century garments in a garden. Flowers and decorative gold scroll line the rim of the cup and border of the saucer. The saucer is 4 inches in diameter and the cup is 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height.

A pair of large Chinese made and decorated porcelain serving plates for the Western market circa 1790. Good flowers painted in a complex design covering most of the surface. The square edge appears to be gilded with something more like bronzing powder than fire gilding. 11 1/8 inches (28.5 cm) diameter.

Condition: one with minor rim chips, minor stacking wear and some black firing spots. The other with a fairly significant rim chip and associated hairline.

A pair of oversize porcelain plates made and decorated in China around 1790 for export to the West. Brightly colored carmine flowers with touches of blue and yellow and green leaves cover most of the surface of the plates. The edges are glazed brown. 10 ¼ inch (26 cm) diameter.

Condition: one with a couple of very minor chips on the edge and a spider crack visible on the bottom, but not on the face...

Hand painted with extensive flowers a pair of porcelain soup plates made in China and decorated for the Western market about 1790. The flowers are carmine with touches of blue and yellow and different shades of green for the leaves. The edges of the plates are glazed brown. Diameter 8 7/8 inches (22. 5 cm) and 1 3/8 inches (3 cm) tall.

Condition is excellent with only minor stack wear on one...

School girl hand embroidered sampler from New Hampshire, late 18th or early 19th century. Measures 6 5/8" x 10 1/4", in frame measuring 10 1/2" x 14 1/4", with green mat and tan paper backboard. The scene is very folky, obviously a creative design by the child doing the embroidery. Often samplers were copied from images provided by the "school" of handwork, but this is clearly an imaginative work...

C 1760 Rare Chelsea seal of a harlequin boy in black face mask with a metal ring at the top. The colors are magnificent. The seal evokes the Commedia dell'Arte, an early form of popular comedic masked theater originating in Italy and popular in Europe from the 16th to the 18th century. The harlequin alone is rare; a harlequin in blackface, rarer still...

This is an original 18th century Gouyn period porcelain Chelsea fob seal. These seals were given as love tokens by the wealthy and known as "toys". This particular seal features a woman dancing and holding out her apron on either side. She has a low cut pink bodice and a skirt with a mini print pattern on the front and stripes on the back, and reads "Toujour gai", meaning "Always happy"...

Absolutely beautiful, very heavy, sterling tray.  It measures 22" long x 14 1/2" wide x 1" tall and weighs 2045 grams.  It is heavily decorated with flowers and leaves.  It is marked on the bottom "sterling" with what appears to be a beehive.  It is rare to find a sterling tray of this weight and beauty.

Stoneware jar in the form of an orange with the registry mark for F & R Pratt of Fenton for 1878 on the base. 4 inches (10.2 cm) tall and 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide.

Condition: no chips cracks, hairlines or repairs. Minor staining and some tiny areas of paint loss.

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Fischern, Bohemia by Carl Knoll in the 1880s. It has the blue under glaze bee hive marking. There is writing in German, “Gesnng u Spiel” or “Singing and Play”. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches. The cup is 3 1/8 inches tall, without the handle with a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The ground color and border on the cup are deep cobalt blue. The cup has a panoramic scene of young children enjoying various activities...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by a Dresden decorator. We believe that it was made by Donath Dresden because it is marked in red and the coloring and style are similar to others we have had. There is an artist’s signature in the lower right corner of the portrait which may be Wagner. The cup is marked Madame Montesson, wife of King Louis the XV. The saucer is 4 inches in diameter. The cup is 1 7/8 inches tall with a diameter of 1 7/8 inches...

Our Victorian silver arrow brooch is handcrafted with a high degree of skill insuring the stone is perfectly and painstakingly carved to fit its mount. The warm colors of the Scottish agate and the matte finish all combine to make this a wonderful brooch. This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden Studio around 1900. It is 8 7/8 inches tall and 3 inches across the handles. The ground color is iridescent aquamarine. The front of the vase has a reserve of young girl from the 19th century. The portrait is framed with shiny gold. The remainder of the vase has ornate raised gold swags, ribbons and trophy objects...

A large, heavily potted English pitcher with an applied strap handle. All of the strong floral decoration is handpainted except for the blue flowers which where the paint was stamped on with a cut sponge. Though it could be earlier the later date of circa 1880 is conservative. 7 3/8 inches tall, 9 ¼ inches across the handle.

Condition: Handle broken and restuck, glaze chips on the spout, firing flaw on the bottom, crazing, glaze chips on the spout and minor spots.

Circa 1870, brown transferware platter, Staffordshire Nanking pattern, by E. Challinor. In very good condition, there is some crazing commensurate with age and some staining, most notably on the back. Measures about 18 inches long, 14" high, and 1.5" deep. Hanger included.

A beautiful composite stem English wine glass with a tulip bowl above a stem with a multi-spiral air twist over a teared inverted baluster knop above a plain section. The glass has a domed foot with rough pontil.

The form itself is quite uncommon and when found is almost always with a pointed round funnel bowl or round funnel bowl, and of somewhat shorter height. For a glass of that type see Bickerton p. 193, fig 555. The combination of the tulip bowl and a height of 6 7/8" in this example ...
