This figurine was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg c. 1910. It has the impressed shield, printed mark and artist’s initials W N for Entwurf Wilhelm Newhauser. They are pictured in the book “Die Tierplastik her Nyympherburger Porzellan" by Gerhard P. Woeckel. The group measures 12 inches high, 8 3/4 inches deep and 7 inches wide. 15K Victorian chain with a link design consisting of two "paperclips" joined together at a perfect 90 degree angle, leading to a lovely unusual lovers knot link where the lover's knot is wrapped in a braided pattern several times about a simple oval link (see close ups). Turn-of-the-century Classical sterling silver trophy cup. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Ovoid body, flared mouth, and c-scroll handles with realistic leaf and bud mounts. Spread foot has same applied to four supports. Interior has gilt wash. A fine design with lots of room for engraving. Fully marked including pattern no. 14417 (first produced in 1900) and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition.

Antique 18K and diamond-studded lover's knot ring with nice clear hallmarks for Chester, 1909. The knot motif is a Victorian symbol of love. It continued in popularity through WWI. Our knot ring has three old mine cut diamonds embedded securely within incised stars which are further placed in gold squares. The figural knot can be seen on the underside of the ring and is every bit as beautiful as the front. This ring is a size 6 3/4.

Small vase, an early piece from the Reissner & Kessel manufactory in Turn-Teplitz in present Czechia. The exterior unglazed with carved and enameled decoration of scrollwork and flowers, the interior white-glazed. Impressed crown mark for 1892 – 1910 to the base, Amphora, Austria, model numbers and more. Near the base the exterior has got another mark, partly illegible and possibly the name of the designer (T Goto (?) cf. pics). Height "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: fine.

This slithering 18K gold snake ring with diamond eyes is a delight to wear. The snake motif, in this case, a snake eating it tail, an ouroboros, was first popularized in Victorian jewelry as a symbol of eternal life and eternal love. A rare pair of Rambervillers Ceramique stoneware vases with characteristic thick metallic lustre glaze and mounted on fitted gilt bronze stands. I have seen weapons such as this one described as everything from ancient Roman, Celtic and Chinese to medieval and on and on. Though I have been unable to find much in the way of references, I am fairly certain that this spear and others like it are ceremonial polearms from the Qing Dynasty. Turn-of-the-century cut-glass perfume bottle with sterling silver stopper. Globular with short and faceted neck and shoulder, and everted rim. Star, fern, and diaper ornament.
