Elegant Napoleon III ivory letter opener and book mark with a French silver handle with repousse decoration. The piece serve as a paper cutter or letter opener, but the double blade can slip over the edge of a page to serve as a book mark. This glass decanter was produced in Europe in the late 19th century in the area then known as Bohemia. It has no signature or marking. It is 10 inches high, including the stopper, and 5 3/4 inches wide. The glass is hand blown crystal. Inside the cut stopper is a teardrop bubble. The handle is applied. This set of 6 porcelain dessert plates was produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin in 1918. The black cross denotes this specific year. The plates have a diameter of 8 3/4 inches. They have a reticulated border with rococo style rims. Each plate has a delicate spray of exquisitely hand painted flowers in shades of rose, green and gray. A very well-cut low bowl in an unidentified pattern. The cutting is deep, sharp and precise. The pattern comprises three panels of star- and diamond-cut cane, divided by elongated loops enclosing flashed fans and strawberry diamond, alternating with hobstars. The blank is heavy and very clear.

A pair of tall Sheffield plate candlesticks with conforming bobeche. On round bases with lines alternating with elongated ovals up the base, column and socket. This style was current around 1800. The wear or “bleed” where the copper shows is on the high places. They are 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall and 5 ½ inches (14 cm) diameter at the base. No marks. Probably English.

Banded mochaware bowl in blue and brown. Very nicely formed, with a crisply shaped foot rim. The rim has one 1" hairline, and there is some discoloration to the interior (note that the discoloration visible near the rim is actually very thick bluish glaze, and not staining), but otherwise the bowl is in very good condition. 6-3/8" diam; 3-1/8" high.

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in France in the late 19th century. They are 10 inches in diameter. They have hand painted portraits of Mme Pompadour and Napoleon. There is an artist’s signature Garnier on each one. The borders are celeste blue that are decorated with ornate raised gilding. These plates are highly decorative and will display beautifully. A large and unusual double knopped multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) wine goblet of Low Countries origin. The generous bell bowl has a highly uncommon folded rim, and a solid base with enclosed tear, beneath which is a ball knop with multiple tears. Beneath this an inverted baluster knop surmounts the stem, all with the multiple spiral air twist. The foot rim has been polished at a point on the upper and lower surface, but with no loss of width or diameter, and retains perfect presence.

This is a small and charming child's gameboard, measuring 13 3/4" long by 10 3/4" wide by 3/4" thick. It was found in Vermont, and most likely originated there. It is made of maple, with bread-boarded ends, affixed with square nails.
