The Vũng Tàu shipwreck is a shipwreck that was found in the South China Sea off the islands of Côn Đảo about 100 miles from Vũng Tàu, Vietnam in 1692. The wreck was of alorcha boat—a Chinese vessel with Portuguese influences that has been dated to about 1690. These 12 porcelain dinner plates were produced in England by Spode Copelands China in the 1890s. They were produced especially for the high end retailer T. Good & Co. of London. The plates measure 10 ¾ inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The set was used for decoration only. They are completely hand painted with floral centers and border reserves. No two plates are the same...

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Italy by Caopdimonte between 1740 and 1745. It bears a rare “Fleur de Lis” mark under glaze. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches in diameter and is 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 3/4 inches high with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches. The porcelain is highly translucent with egg shell quality. It has a parchment hue and has imperfections in the glaze. The cup shape and handle are very similar to Meissen cups of that time...

A Magnificent George III Sterling Silver Hot Water Jug by the Noted Silversmith Paul Storr, Hallmarked in London, 1809. A Unique Double Ivory Handle, Emanating from Serpents and ending in an Inverted Swans Head. A Gadrooned Lower Base and a Gadroon and Shell Design on the Shoulder. The number "798" is just next to the Storr Hallmark. Dimensions: 8.5" high, weight 32 standard/ 29.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

Very rare European neo-classical dark blue glass paste Intaglio Ring, circa. 1800 AD - 1900 AD, depicting the God Pan or a Faun challenging a Capricorn in the forest. 18k. gold

This is the upper part of a kamishimo; samurai's formal attire without the trousers. It was worn over a kosode (kimono with small sleeves) with trousers. The texture is hemp like; coarse, slightly translucent, thick threads (thicker than other kamishimo). The family crest is the feathers of a hawk. Kami-shimo (upper-lower) that we currently have are quite dandy and fashionable. The amazing thing is the work that is involved when making these fabrics...

Very fine 19th Century European reticulated Silver Salt Cellar with original Cobalt Blue Glass Liner. In the shape of a fine basket and stands on 4 delicate legs. Condition: no breaks or bends to the silver and no chips or cracks to the liner. The base has a hallmark stamp. The tiny spoon illustrated does not belong to this silver cellar, i.e. acquired separately and is not sterling. Size of salt cellar: W. 8 cm. x D. 6 cm. x H. 4.25 cm.

A lovely pair of hyacinth vases in teal blue glass. The classic shape is slightly conical with a widely flaring rim for resting the bulb over the water. These vases are especially attractive because of their rich color. Forcing hyacinths and other bulbs to bloom indoors was something of a Victorian passion that continued well into the 20th century.

Pair lovely Minton porcelain cabinet plates featuring handpainted pastoral scenes. One shows a footbridge over a rushing stream and the other shows a pair of cows wading in a pond. Engraved Southern coin silver baby cup or child's mug by Brown and Anderson of Wilmington, North Carolina. Fully hallmarked on bottom, it measures 3 inches high, 2.75" cup diameter, and 3.75" across to include handle. A very rare piece and an excellent acquisition for the serious collector of American Southern coin silver. Circa 1850.

Heavy storage jar signed "ME", by Dave the Slave. His fingerprints are on the bottom of the jar and it measures 7" Height, and 5" in width. The Edgefield pottery expert believes that this jar was made by Dave the Slave. This is the shortest poem written by Dave the Slave.
