A lovely transitional etched Art Nouveau~Art Deco case with Czechoslovakian export marks along with FB 900 for silver content. The back has an engine turned design. The inside is smudged, the gilt is worn with stains that do not come out and there is a small raised pinpoint puncture that it is not evident from the outside.There are no bands to hold the cigarettes. This porcelain dish was produced in Bohemia by the Hermann Ohme Porcelain Manufacturer around 1885. It is 6 1/4 inches long, 5 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep. The porcelain has a swirled ribbing that makes the dish fragile and translucent. The inside of the dish is hand painted with Dresden type flowers in bright colors. There are little buds and twigs scattered around both sides of it. The inner rim has delicate hand gilding...

This bisque porcelain figural group was produced in Europe in the mid 19th century. It is not marked and we don't know if it is German or perhaps English. It is 6 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide at the base. The porcelain is dense and quite heavy for its size. The group is so quaint, with this little girl and her large dog carrying a basket of flowers in his mouth. The piece has a space in the back to hold flowers, so it serves as a vase as well as a figurine...

Scarce pottery Jug, Varde in Denmark, ca. 16th.-18th. century AD.

These black-glazed pottery jugs and pots were made from medieval times to 19th. century. This particular jug is one of the finest examples we've seen from the region around Varde that produced the best pottery in Jutland. Finely made with glossy black glaze.

A fine transfer printed dark blue and white Staffordshire plate in the "Birds and Fruit" pattern. Attributed to John Hall & Sons, Burslem, England.

The central scene features two birds amidst a panoply of fruit, including pears, strawberries, blackberries, grapes, etc. The cavetto and wide rim has a border of flowers and foliage.

A pretty Victorian mercury glass vase in tapered and ribbed columnar form with a foot. The body has a matte surface decorated with a pretty bouquet of blue and white flowers. The vase has a nice small size that is not easy to find.

Origin: Bohemia, ca. 1870. Condition: excellent, a tiny area of oxidation near the base of the bouquet, no plug. Size: 6-1/8” tall.

An Art Nouveau porcelain table centrepiece relief moulded with stylized lily decoration and pre-Raphaelite style figures of a youth and a maiden. This item was designed by Ernst Wahuss and produced by Amphora (Austria) circa 1890 - 1910. Condition: excellent - no losses or damages and no repairs or restoration. 33cm (13 inches) long; 17cm (6.7 inches) high.

A tasteful Edwardian rectangular serving tray, solid oak with brass enforced rounded corners, authentic warm patina. In excellent condition, it measures 15.5 inches long by 9.75" wide. Dates circa 1900.

Fabulous brass and copper picture frame in the Aesthetic Japonaise style. The basketweave pattern of the brass frame is detailed with raised copper decorative elements that include a crane standing in a stream, bamboo and cherry blossoms. The back has an easel. The frame is 3.5" x 2.75". The oval opening with glass is 2.25" x 1.5". Circa 1870.

Lovely cut glass powder jar with a silver lid. The finial is a beautifully-detailed strawberry. The edges of the lid are decorated with classical bound reeding. The lid is also monogramed "FC". Hallmarks are European and the silver content is 916/1000.

Antique flannel dog filled with grain or sawdust that makes him feel like a bean bag and allows him to stand nicely. He has big bead eyes and replaced floppy ears. The original ears must have been further back where you see a white patch. That patch is white flannel that hasn't gotten dirty. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden studio in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is hand painted with garlands of vibrant flowers. Swags and scallops of forget-me-nots and tiny roses spill across each piece. There is delicate gilding around the border, rims and handle. Wonderful pottery candlestick decorated in an underglaze blue floral transfer and clobbered with overglaze iron red, yellow, and purple pigments. The effect is much like chintz china, but with stronger coloring. The bottom is marked with the registration number indicating the piece was designed in 1913 and bears the mark used by Cauldon Potteries from 1905 to 1920. It is also marked "Grip", probably referring to the very uncommon form. It is a very unusual and striking pattern.

A Gorham sterling silver miniature chamber stick or candle holder dated 1891. This Victorian era ornate chamberstick stands 1-5/8" high and it measures 3-3/8" across the base. It is stamped with the lion/anchor/G mark, along with STERLING 181 and the year cypher for 1891. A pair of small enameled dram glasses / whiskey tumblers. Each with decoration of a flower basket to the exterior, the inside painted green and white. Polished bases. Bohemian, early 19th century. Height "2 ½ / 6.5 cm. Condition: two flakes to the inside of rim to one glass.

Lovely Rococo bowls of lobed shape. A Sèvres model and Sèvres style decoration of rose heads and other flowers, and gilt sprigs. Painted and scratched mark Nid(erviller) in greyish black to both bowls, indicating a production date between 1793 and 1800. Diameter 8”/20 cm. Condition: some rubbing to the gilt decoration, a hairline to one bowl and a Y-shaped crack visible from the back (as seen on photo).

A 13 3/8 inch (34 cm) diameter Dutch delft blue and white charger depicting a vase with a pedestal base in the center and an elaborate chinoiserie border on the outer lip. 18th century more likely earlier than later.

Condition; major chunk out of left edge replaced but discernable by discoloration of the paint over. Losses along the edge all around the dish.

A hand hammered brass teapot with rattan wrapped handle, probably Germany, c 1910. Together with a burner by Jan Eisenlöffel, c 1900. The burner with “hammered” dark blue glass walls made in the 1990’s to fit the exact style of the original. Height of teapot "7½/ 19 cm, width "8/ 20 cm, width of burner "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine.

A Bohemian cased and parcel gilt glass beaker, c 1870. Of octagonal shape, the sides facet-cut leaving eight oval reserves in ruby red surrounded by gilt ornaments in the style typical of this period. Height "5 ¼/ 13,5 cm. Condition: wear to the gilt decoration.

Elegant sterling silver bread fork, the handle decorated with beading and acanthus leaves. The decoration at the top of the curved tines repeats the motif of the handle. Bread forks are relatively uncommon and were used for serving various breads and rolls. The handle is marked by an unknown maker.

A rare form of slag glass, this late 19th century example is richly marbled throughout. It rests on a round foot which rises on a stem supporting a tiered crown for the straight paneled bowl. This specimen is in outstanding condition and retains its identification tag from its original collector.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin in the late 19th century. It has the blue scepter and red orb on the back. It measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The porcelain is molded with a basket weave border and curved ribs. Pink wild roses decorate the center of the plate. The painting is the excellent quality KPM is noted for. The border is cream colored with lacy gilded accents. Condition: Excellent

Stunning single-vase epergne in blue opaline glass. The deeply ruffled edges of the trumpet vase contrasts with the gentler ruffle of the lower bowl. The coloring is particularly nice.

This fine Staffordshire copper luster pitcher is decorated with a blue band of enamel, creating a very clean, simple design, accented with beading around the border and rim of the pitcher. The fancy serpentine and strap handles give it grace. The warmth of the copper makes it an attractive accessory to a bookshelf or cabinet.

A nice late Victorian South Jersey (Vineland/Millville area) glass paperweight with a frit “Home Sweet Home” design. The set-up is worked entirely in white frit and has few nice features including potted plants on the lawn, a picket fence, and a Y-shaped sidewalk. The glass is clean and has good magnification. Pair of mid 19th century cut crystal Irish finger bowls measuring about 4 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. A rare find dating circa 1850.

A Gorham Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon, in the "Raphael" pattern; patented 1874, and dating from shortly after. The length is 6" and it has a gold washed bowl (2" x 1.5"). There is intricate piercing on the bowl. There is an intricate monogram on the handle (matching item #533) and the condition is excellent.

Banded mochaware bowl in blue and brown. Very nicely formed, with a crisply shaped foot rim. The rim has one 1" hairline, and there is some discoloration to the interior (note that the discoloration visible near the rim is actually very thick bluish glaze, and not staining), but otherwise the bowl is in very good condition. 6-3/8" diam; 3-1/8" high.

Lovely 3-tier chintz cake stand in a unknown pattern. The bottom of each piece is marked in blue/green "B/Royal Tudor Ware/Barker Bros. L'td/England" along with a crown. The stem is brass. The whole stand is approximately 12-1/2" tall. The plates are approximately 10", 8" and 6" in diameter. Mint condition--even the gilding around the edges of the plates. Ca. 1920's.

A Large English Syrup or Milk Jug with a Pewter Lid, Signed Atkin Brothers Sheffield. The Color is Deep Raspberry and There Are Classic Portrayals of a Chariot Driver on Each Side. Dimensions 9" high x 5" wide; circa 1880. Very Good condition (Note that there are reflections on the pictures).

Pair English Victorian Transfer heavy Ceramic Tiles with Aesthetic movement, pre 1920's, 6" square, 1/2" high, with couple birds on the plum tree branches inside the octagonal panel surrounded with triangle shape corner borders, the glaze is thick glossy crackled. The condition is good, no damages.

Unusual Victorian copper ladies' button-up boot. The Victorians often placed these along their mantles for purely decorative purposes. Most examples are made of brass, but this piece is entirely copper. Another nice touch is the applied scalloped pattern along the front edge of the boot and the white brass buttons.
