This is a well washed and loved red calico doll quilt. It is mostly treadle machine stitched with some hand sewing. The backing is a brown and cream calico print with a brown calico boarder on both front and back. It is very soft, faded a couple of tiny holes that gives it that great old worn look. This is my kind of quilt, old and worn and I realize it is not for everyone. It is 16" square and is from the 1890's with a Pennsylvania verbal history. (I love it.)

This is a pair of linen homespun pillow cases that are more like show towels. The linen is very finely woven, the pulled thread work, borders the top and bottom of the name and date. The embroidered name and date is done in a wool floss and has not done as well with use as the body of the pillow case. Her name is Barbara Wismer, I think, and the date is 1829. There is no question they were used and laundered but they are in great condition with a bit of age related toning in places...

This Dark blue and white towel is 11 1/2" by 16 1/2" with sides hand hemmed. It has a few light brown stains in two places. This is a great size for a table mat or as a guest towel. The pattern and color are pleasing to the eye. C.1840

This work towel is made for use but is also very beautiful. I think it is linen one way and cotton the other way. (warp and weft). It has a feel and sheen of linen but also has the flat look of cotton. It is in very good condition, has the original loop for hanging it up, and is hemmed on both sides of the towel. This vase stands out with its beautiful cranberry color with rich jeweled honey gilding accented with white scrollwork and blue swags. The sinuous form enhances the overall elegance of its Art Nouveau inspired sensibilities.

Unmarked but clearly Bohemian in origin. We date this class to c. 1910 or earlier.

Condition is excellent with some very minor losses to the gilding

Large Bronze UTHONG Buddha, 18/19th Century. Size: height 80 cm x width at base 58 cm. Knee to knee 52 cm.

Wonderful blue Cluthra M-handled vase standing 10 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter at its widest point. The vase is shape 8508 and is entirely mixed blue and white from top to bottom. It does not shade to white at the bottom. The bubbles in the Cluthra are small (1/4 inch diameter or less) and are well distributed. There is no damage to this unsigned vase.

The rooster has a shaggy crown and raised talon and looks down while the hen, who has a small trim crown and scaly wattles, looks up. Cawing beaks suggest a barnyard tiff. Marked. This is a solid silver plate with an engraved Islamic design from Egypt. The plate has a sloping scalloped rim and features an eight-point star called "Khatim Sulayman" in the center, formed by two overlapping squares.

This fine antique Baccarat bottle with its optic swirl device was created in the Rubina style which features and red to clear coloration. The jar has a weight worthy of its pedigree, and dates to early 20th century. The hollow stopper is marked with the same number as the base of the bottle, confirming that the two are a match.

Condition is excellent though the glass may have manufacturing imperfections.

A large oval-shaped Islamic box made of solid sterling silver, which was crafted by hand in the 19th - 20th century in Egypt, which was then part of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. The box is exquisitely designed in the Traditional Ottoman Turkish style, featuring floral decorated panels that are finely chiseled in repoussé. The sides of the box are rounded and come with two handles, while the hinged lid tapers to a bulbous gadrooned top and has a peacock finial perched on it.

A marvelous pair of Dresden or Old Paris porcelain candlesticks with carefully painted cherubs holding to each nozzle while upholding while perched on stumps. The winged characters are draped with modesty scarves which swirl around the sticks. The quatrefoil bases are embellished with gold and encrusted with pink flowers.
