This pair of wine glasses was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the 1880s. They are 5 ¾ inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 inches. The glasses are hand blown and have leaded content so that they ring. The glasses are hand enameled in exquisite fashion. All of the enamel is raised. This porcelain plate was produced in England by Coalport in the mid 19th century. It is unmarked, but from the shape of the blank and the type of decoration we can attribute it to Coalport. The plate measures 9 ½ inches in diameter. It has a cobalt blue border that is accented with French enamel. There are sprays of hand painted flowers in bright colors around the center of the plate. A handsome Imperial Russian medium-size hammered brass oval tray with cast brass handles. A tray of this size would probably have been used to serve vodka, and could still be used as a cordial tray or even on a buffet table. One end is stamped with the maker’s name and the Imperial Romanov double eagle warrant. The handles are attached with copper rivets and are cast in a ropetwist design.

A large, Rubina, overshot, Bohemian glass jug, made likely by Harrach, around 1880. The jug is 10 inches (25,5 cm) tall and 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) wide (to handle-tip). Except for a small rim-chip, the jug is in good condition. Unpolished, recessed pontil. Unmarked - attributed to Harrach. The glass fluoresces in a gentle green coloration when subjected to black-light - typicall of 19th century soda-lime glass objects.

This glass jug was produced in Bohemia by Josephinenhutte around 1895.  It was probably decorated by Fritz Heckert.  The jug measures 8 1/2 inches tall.  The stretch type glass is hand blown with an applied handle.  It is hand decorated with raised enamels in Middle Eastern style.  It is a handsome example of Bohemian art glass. Condition:  The ring of gilding around the foot shows some wear.  It is otherwise in excellent condition.

Most likely French, 19th century. The image of an Englishman hunting with a hound was a common image on enamel boxes, especially snuff boxes of the eighteenth century. However, this box clearly dates to the late nineteenth century. The lug and ribbed banding on the metal hinge, as well as the completely hand painted nature of the lid identify this box as a nineteenth century creation.

Offered is this beautiful, hand-painted, cut, cased glass (three-layer casing: white on the outside, cobalt on the inside and clear in-between) vase. It is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide and 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) high. It is in excellent condition. The clear-glass pontil was left partly polished, since it is recessed (see last picture). unsigned - could have been made by either Moser, Pfohl or another Bohemian maker.

This pair of earthenware vases was produced in France by Paul Milet in the 1890s. They measure 8 3/8 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 ½ inches. The decoration is the epitome of Art Nouveau design. Anemones bend and sway while turquoise dragonflies hover overhead. Clover-like turquoise colored leaves encircle the bases of the two vases. This 36 piece glass service was produced in Bohemia by the Moser Glass Decorating Studio between 1880 and 1890. It consists of 12 plates measuring 8 3/8 inches in diameter, 12 champagne goblets measuring 5 3/8 inches tall with a diameter of the bowl 4 1/4 inches and 12 wine glasses measuring 5 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of the bowl 2 3/8 inches. A beautiful green-to-clear glass vase, made by either Moser or Harrach. The vase is decorated with beautiful art nouveau floral motif. Polished pontil. Except for roughness toward the vase's bottom (see second-last picture), it is in very good condition. Outstanding brass match holder the pocket formed in the shape of a shield and punch-decorated in a stars and stripes pattern. The pocket is surmounted by a punch-decorated American eagle underneath the motto “In God We Trust”. This motto was adopted in 1863 as a subtle government reminder during the Civil War that God was on the side of the Union troops fighting to end the evil of slavery. Offered is this beautiful, iridescent art glass vase made by Loetz around 1898, in their 'Tree-trunk' decor ('Creta Rusticana'. The vase is 5 inches (12,5 cm) tall and 4 1/4 inches (10,8 cm) wide at the bottom. Except for a couple of minutest of flea-bites on the top rim, the vase is in very good condition. Though unsigned, most likely it was made by Loetz (refer to page 4 of David Littlefield's website for a Loetz 'Creta Rusticana' vase of similar shape and decor).

A pair of beautiful, hand-painted glass vases made by Bohemian master, Moser. The amber-colored, ribbed glass vases have blue-colored applied scroll-feet and lava-drippings from the top rims. Each vase is 12 1/4 inches (31 cm) tall and 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide. Except for a couple of chips on the blue-glass applications of one vase (see last two pictures), which are typical of these old applied-glass vases, the vases are in decent condition. Antique second half of the 19th century Bohemian hand-blown clear cut-glass decanter and stopper made for the Middle Eastern, Persian and Ottoman market. Body of bulbous form with long neck applied with three faceted rings, cut with leaf-shaped panels of hobnail, leaves and diamonds, enamelled with blossom and scrolls and gold gilt, with spire stopper. Base with a ground down pontil mark.

Fabulous brass and copper picture frame in the Aesthetic Japonaise style. The basketweave pattern of the brass frame is detailed with raised copper decorative elements that include a crane standing in a stream, bamboo and cherry blossoms. The back has an easel. This is a rare well modeled and detailed 19th century porcelain elephant by Samson. It is based upon an outstanding 1680 Japanese Kakiemon model, which, in turn, was derived from Chinese prototypes. The piece is eleven inches in height and is enameled in red and cobalt.

Condition: Excellent, no chips, hairlines or repairs.

A pretty Victorian mercury glass vase in tapered and ribbed columnar form with a foot. The body has a matte surface decorated with a pretty bouquet of blue and white flowers. The vase has a nice small size that is not easy to find.

These memento boxes were popular at the end of the eighteenth century and frequently given as tokens of friendship and love. Usually oval in shape, but also circular and rectangular, the decoration reflected the popular styles of the day. For example, by the 1790s Neoclassical style swags, doves, hearts, and borders were the most commonly used decoration of the day. This one reads "The Absent Not Forgotten."

A beautiful decanter set composed of 3 barrel shaped decanters, each heavily cut and retaining the original target stoppers. The stand is electroplate silver and of elegantly molded trefoil form, with rings to hold the stoppers.

Both the stand and decanters are in excellent condition, the glass without chips, etc., and the stand with little to no bleeding. The height is 10" and the width is 9".

Offered is this beautiful pair of vases with hand-painted decor and embedded jewels. Each vase is 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) tall and the vases are in excellent condition without chips, cracks or repairs (age-appropriate fading to the gilt, as expected) - amazingly, all the jewels are intact, in spite of the vases being over a hundred years old, showing how well they had been cared for. Banded mochaware bowl in blue and brown. Very nicely formed, with a crisply shaped foot rim. The rim has one 1" hairline, and there is some discoloration to the interior (note that the discoloration visible near the rim is actually very thick bluish glaze, and not staining), but otherwise the bowl is in very good condition. 6-3/8" diam; 3-1/8" high.
