This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin in the late 19th century. It has the blue scepter and red orb on the back. It measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The porcelain is molded with a basket weave border and curved ribs. Pink wild roses decorate the center of the plate. The painting is the excellent quality KPM is noted for. The border is cream colored with lacy gilded accents. Condition: Excellent

A pretty Victorian mercury glass vase in rare peacock blue. The surface is frosted and enhanced with painted decoration of fuchsias an autumnal colors. Some areas of the background are left unfrosted for a nice contrast. Blue is a very unusual color for mercury glass pieces.

Origin: America, ca. 1850. Condition: very good, no chips or cracks, lead plug is missing and some oxidation in the foot and light oxidized pinpoints the main part of the body. Size: 8” tall.

A very nice hammered brass jardiniere from Russia's Imperial era. The vessel is raised on cast lion's paw feet and is flanked by ring handles grasped in cast lion's heads. The jardiniere is constructed in the traditional manner with seamed joints and a rolled lip. The bottom is stamped with the Imperial Romanov double-headed eagle.

Finely potted blue and white Chinese export Canton handleless sugar bowl with minute, barely discernible firing flaws. About 5-1/2" W x 5-5/8" H. No chips, frits, hairlines or repairs. Sugar bowls with braided handles were harder to make and morphed into the later handleless ones, c. 1880-1910. Described as "rare" by the Schiffers in CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN, c. 1975. A handsome Imperial Russian medium-size hammered brass oval tray with cast brass handles. A tray of this size would probably have been used to serve vodka, and could still be used as a cordial tray or even on a buffet table. One end is stamped with the maker’s name and the Imperial Romanov double eagle warrant. The handles are attached with copper rivets and are cast in a ropetwist design.

A beautiful, large Peachblow glass bowl, made by New England glass company around 1890. The bowl is 7 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 inches in height. The non-cased glass bowl is in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or repairs. Polished pontil. Unsigned, as expected - a similar bowl is shown on page 125 of John A. Shuman III's book, 'American Art Glass', 2nd edition (shown in last picture here for your convenience).

This beautiful gold chain has a nice thick substantial link and its smooth texture reminds one of the "slinky" toy of old, in that it falls smoothly in place no matter how it lands. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Europe in the mid 19th century. It is marked under glaze but we have been unable to identify it. The shape is similar to some used by KPM. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cup is 3 inches high, without the handle. The porcelain is quite substantial, similar to the weight of Paris porcelains. An Impressively Grand English Victorian Brass Inkstand or Standish with Double Inkwells. It is 21.25" wide x 9" deep x 7" high and weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces. It dates from the latter part of the 19th century and is in excellent condition, except for a repair one of the legs (only visible from the bottom, see picture).

This porcelain figurine was produced in Thuringia,Germany by the Brothers Heubach in the 1880s. It has an impressed and a printed mark. The kitten is 7 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is well modeled giving the figurine lots of kitty details. The best part is that sweet little kitten face. All of the detail is hand painted right down to her little claws. Beautiful sterling silver asparagus fork made by Whiting, patented 1891, and sold by Bailey, Banks & Biddle.  It measures 10" long x 3 1/2" wide, and weighs 127 grams.  It is in wonderful condition with no dents, scratches or any other problems.  It has the initial B on the handle.

Antique Polish Jewish brass Sabbath candelabra with five lights, 19th-century Poland. The candelabra is made of several cast and turned elements that have been hand-finished and screwed together. The upper part of the candelabra is made with openwork and adorned with two facing lions of Judah and birds within a scrolled framework.

18K pendant of rock crystal with a reverse intaglio of the head of an adorable Pekingese, with an inscription on the reverse side, Ed. Van den Hove & Fils, Bruxelles, C. 1880. This pendant is stylistically characteristic of the work of the Pradier family, whose speciality was painting miniature works of domestic animals. These miniature works of art were widely popular in the United States as well as on the Continent. They are often erroneously referred to as Essex Crystals.

A nice South Jersey glass paperweight with a frit “Home Sweet Home” design. The motif features a log cabin with puffs of smoke coming out of the chimney, surrounded by the “Home Sweet Home” legend and a laurel wreath bough at the bottom. The top is cut with a single printy. The bottom is flat and polished, without the incised ring that appears around the periphery of many South Jersey weights.

This is a long silver watch chain with alternating lengths of longer and shorter fetter links. For the better part of the nineteenth century, chains were fashioned laboriously using hand-working skills. A fetter link refers to a longer link which was used to reduce the number of links needed to fabricate a chain, thereby cutting down on the labor. Outstanding brass match holder the pocket formed in the shape of a shield and punch-decorated in a stars and stripes pattern. The pocket is surmounted by a punch-decorated American eagle underneath the motto “In God We Trust”. This motto was adopted in 1863 as a subtle government reminder during the Civil War that God was on the side of the Union troops fighting to end the evil of slavery. Very rare Imperial Russian silver child's fork with vermeil and engraved floral decoration. In fact, I've never before seen a piece of Russian children's flatware. The maker's hallmark on the back is slightly obscured by the design, but the assayer's mark (AA/1895), the standard mark (84), and the city mark (Moscow) are very clear.
