The blank was manufactured by Tressemann and Vogt Limoges and the decoration was done by an unknown decorator using a spurious Sevres marking. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 3 1/4 inches high without the handle. The ground color is deep cobalt blue. The cup features a figural handle in the shape of a peacock...

From our European Collection, a good late 19th century bronze figural inkwell, probably French.

Size and Condition: 9 inches wide, 5 1/4 inches tall, 6 1/4 inches deep. Some verdigris to the patina, the interior glass ink container liner has a small crack, and the inkwell lid does not fully close, though this can easily remedied with a competent repair. Still fine overall condition.

This is a beautifully decorated pair of American grape shears, ca. 1890, heavily repossed handles with grapes and grape leaves design, marked sterling on both handles, steel blades marked K. C. Seelbach Co. Germany; Excellent condition; blades may need cleaning. measurement: 6 1/2 in. long.

From the latter half of the 19th century, this beautifully proportioned iron vane graced the spire of the United Baptist Church in Ellsworth, Maine. In 1933, a major fire swept through the town, burning many of the buildings, including the church. When the church was finally rebuilt, the council wanted a more modern look, and stored the vane in the basement, where it remained for the next 70 years or so...

Decorated Meissen Porcelain made in Dresden, Germany. The cup and saucer both depict a man and woman in 18th century garments in a garden. Flowers and decorative gold scroll line the rim of the cup and border of the saucer. The saucer is 4 inches in diameter and the cup is 3 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height.

This beautifully decorated Bohemian wine goblet is in the style of Josephinenhutte, ca. 1885, finely enamelel and gilt design of an oak leaf and acorn pattern framed with a stylized branch pattern below the bowl rim, colorless crystal bowl resting on a fluid green stem and leaf encircled foot. Measurement-8 in H; Bowl design is finely detailed with minor wear, wear to design and rim banding on foot.

Beautiful bronze statue by Eugene Marioton, French, 1854-1925, titled "Vainquer." The statue itself stands 27 1/2" tall, and it sits on a bronze and rogue marble pedestal that measures 44" tall, making the complete set just under 6" tall. The statue is inscribed Eug. Marioton, and Siot-Decauville is the French foundry. There is some minor pitting on the bottom by the signature, but none at all on the statue body or pedestal This beautiful statue and pedestal is being sold as a set only.

A pair of “King’s pattern” heavy porcelain dinner plates with underglaze blue and overglaze red and gilt decoration. This pattern was an Imari pattern that acquired the “King” name. Both are marked with impressed, “DERBY” under a crown. Both also have red interlaced Ds below a crown. One has the number, “563” below the Ds and the other has a printed mark for the retailer, “John Morlock” of London. These plates are from between 1877 and 1890...

Unmarked, but likely Minton, soft paste porcelain covered sauce tureen "Feuille de choux" pattern with a rose finial. These knock-offs of 18th century Sevres were popular from the mid-19th century (c.1850)onward and Minton made many very good ones. With the lid it is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) tall, 7 1/4 inches (18.4 cm) long, and 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide.

This is a very large, very seldom seen, antique, Buddhist Temple Mokugyo. A Mokugyo is a wooden percussion instruments that is used by monks at Buddhist Temples (in Japan, China and Korea) during Buddhist ceremonies that involve the recitation of sutras or mantras to maintain rhythm during chanting. A large double Irish chain pieced quilt with the chain consisting of red squares enclosing yellow ones on a white ground. The back is turned over the top to form the edge. The red border quilted with swags encloses a white border with a running feather wreath. Inside are red saw teeth and then the chains across the field. Cotton seeds visible through the back side. The white squares enclosed by the chain are quilted with a number of different circular motifs. 77 by 90 inches.

A Toddy or Punch Ladle in Sterling Silver by Gorham in the rare Louis XIV pattern, for Theodore B. Starr and Herman Marcus. It is in a bent ladle shape (may have been straight originally, but more likely it was based on designs in the George III period) and dates from about 1870, when the design was patented.
