Weight is a heavy 27.9 Troy ounces. It has the Ball, Black & Co. New York mark (Formed in 1851 by William Black and Henry Ball. Became Black, Starr and Frost in 1874) and in a shield it is marked "950/1000 fine". The mark dates from 1851-1874 and the bowl is circa 1860. Excellent condition.

This flint glass pitcher was produced in the United Stated at the Boston Sandwich glass factory in the late 19th century. It measures 5 1/2 inches high. It is cranberry opalescent hobnail with a clam broth attached handle. There is a rosette connecting the handle and a wide polished pontil on the bottom. The pitcher rings like a bell when tapped. This porcelain bowl was produced in France at a Limoges porcelain manufacturer in the late 19th century. We were unable to identify the marks. It is a factory decorated piece with both under glaze and over glaze markings. The bowl measures 10 inches in diameter and is 2 1/4 inches deep. It has a scalloped rim. There are colorful pink carnations suspended from the rim of the bowl into the center. Buds and foliage fill out the rest of the design...

Heavy storage jar signed "ME", by Dave the Slave. His fingerprints are on the bottom of the jar and it measures 7" Height, and 5" in width. The Edgefield pottery expert believes that this jar was made by Dave the Slave. This is the shortest poem written by Dave the Slave.

A fine and rare Bow porcelain coffee cup and saucer painted with the "Dragon Chasing (the Flaming) Pearl (of Wisdom). The interior of the cup also shows the dragon, while the exterior of the saucer is painted with clouds. One of the ways to distinguish this early Bow version is the arrow shaped tongue emanating from the mouth of the dragon. The condition is good, some used scratch marks on gold but most of raised gold is in good condition, no chips, no damages.

Alt Wien / Old Vienna dish or plate – originally a stand for a vase or small tureen – with sparse decoration of stylized little tulips within a dark red border. The modern-looking design is a deceiver: the shape of the Royal Vienna Porcelain factory underglaze blue shield mark on the base shows a production date in the Empire period around 1800. Diameter "9 ½ / 24 cm. Condition: two small spots of glaze wear to the center, from the foot rim of vase or tureen.

A low covered pot with jug ear handles of tin glazed earthenware with underglaze blue decoration on either side and on the top depicting a house near water. These pots were used for soft cheese, sort of like cottage cheese if I understand correctly. The top is loose fitting but the raised lip of the pot fits into a channel in the top. 4 ¼ inches tall by 8 inches across handles. (10 x 20 cm).

This set of 12 porcelain plates were produced in England by Mintons in 1895. The plates bear the date cipher for that year. They have a diameter of 9 inches. They are made of fine, white bone china. The rims have fan shaped molded edges that create a scalloped border. In addition, pieced work is used to accent the decoration, giving the borders a lacy appearance. An elaborately molded plate with three hand painted sprigs of flowers. The pattern is one that was made by CJ Mason circa 1825 in the rococo revival taste. 8 ½ inches diameter.

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Copelands China in the 1880s for the retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia. They measure 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain blanks are fluted and scalloped. The ground color is salmon pink. They are decorated with an elaborate pattern of raised enamel beads and intricate gilding. A pretty Victorian sterling silver berry or preserves spoon in Towle’s 1887 “Clover” pattern. Both the handle and bowl are decorated with bright-cut engraving of clover flowers and foliage. The bowl has a scalloped upper border, repoussed lobes, and matte gilding. The back is marked with Towle’s hallmark and the patent date.

Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, sharp detail, original gilding, no monogram, no dings. Size: 7-1/8” long. Weight: 48.5 grams.

A spectacular Chelsea porcelain covered porringer. This wonderful piece is profusely decorated, even on the inside of the bowl, with butterflies, moths, other insects, and flowers. A veritable rainbow of colors was used in the enameling. The finial on the lid is a naturalistically molded rose with hues of reds and pinks, and the handles are painted with a distinct bluish green. The underside has the Chelsea red anchor mark and displays the stilt marks indicative of Chelsea.

An ornate Bohemian glass box with jewels, made by Moser around 1885. The green-colored box is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) high. It has yellow/amber colored jewels on it. A very good antique English enamel twist wine glass, having a round funnel bowl with a fluted lower half. The stem contains a single series opaque twist with a pair of spiral gauzes. Conical foot with snapped pontil.

No condition issues, and the glass is 5 7/16" in height, with a bowl diameter of 2" and a foot diameter of 2 9/16".

A beautiful and uncommon Derby basket-molded stand, or undertray, with a scalloped rim and a basket-weave border, The center is painted with fruit in shades of yellow, iron-red, puce, green, and brown. Surrounding the center, and on the border, are insects painted in a variety of colors. The underside of the stand has 5 patch marks.

Frequently, when referring to Derby, the literature, or catalogs, have references to "the moth painter," or the "principal fruit painter," or the like. In realit...

Total 21 Mintons Porcelain Dessert Plates, 7 5/8" diameter, 3/4" high, with brilliant raised etched Gold border on top of the wider Cobalt Blue border. "Mintons Est. 1793 England" in purple, "g6262" in red on the bottom plus impressed mark on the bottom. The condition is exceptionally good. This is the same design as #1368383 and #1368279.

A fine example of an English porcelain coffee can, made by the Richard Chaffers & Co. manufactory in Liverpool. As to be expected, and as it should be, the soapstone based body resembles that of Worcester.

This particular piece is decorated with a variation of the "Scarlet Japan" pattern, and shows bright colors and careful painting. The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, restoration, or other problems. The height is 2 1/4" and the diameter is 2 1/8".

An elegant and beautiful English ratafia DSOT (double series opaque twist) glass. Ratafia glasses are quite uncommon, and this is fine and exceptionally tall example. The elongated narrow conical bowl is above a double series opaque twist stem with a pair of three-ply spiral bands outside of a pair of corkscrew tapes.

A fine pan-topped square bucket bowl glass engraved with a fruiting vine having polished grapes, raised on a stem containing a multi-spiral air twist. Conical foot with polished pontil. Condition is excellent with no flaws. The apparent cloudiness in the bowl in the first photo is not present in real life. The height of the glass is 5 5/8", with a bowl diameter of 2 1/2" and a foot diameter of 2 3/4".
