A small Bilston patch box, enamel on copper, mid-18th century, in a design somewhere between Rococo and Louis XVI: the outer shape softly rounded, the pattern more strict, of diaper type, textile-like. Patches, often in black silk, were used to conceal scars or blemishes from smallpox or other diseases. At the time Bilston, a town in West Midlands was famous for their enamel boxes. Very nice Chinese export porcelain tea pot in Canton decoration. The slightly tapered drum-shaped body is decorated with typical Canton scenes of islands, bridges, boats, etc. and is accented with a raincloud border along the top edge. The lid, spout and handle are also decorated with typical motifs. The color is very nice with terrific clarity and depth. Likewise, the body is of nice color.

This uncommon and molded example has a looped stem handle, and is decorated inside and out with scattered flower sprigs and insects, finished with raised fruit near the handle juncture. A similar example is shown in S. Spero and J. Sandon, "Worcester Porcelain 1751-1790, The Zorensky Collection", 1996, p. 120, no. 88. This is above a double series opaque twist stem, comprised of an extremely wide spiral tape outside of a pair of spiral tapes. Completing the rarity of this glass are a shoulder and medial knop. A lobed dinner plate with a gilt rim, a gilt circle entwined with floral ropes on the lip and a worn monogram enclosed by a blue circle wrapped with a gilt wreath in the well. Diameter 9 1/8 inches (23 cm). Marked in underglaze blue on the back with the Seguin factory mark. The factory was active in Vincennes from roughly 1779 to 1788.

Folk Art duck decoy, hand carved from wood with black round stopper for eye. The bird is painted black with white highlights and grey bill. Tail fins are carved in wood.

The frame on this ornate bride's basket was made by the Wilcox Silver Co. circa 1880's.
