A lovely sterling silver fancy serving fork in an unnamed Art Nouveau pattern by the Baird-North Co. The handle is beautifully decorated with a thorny vine of wild roses. Black-glazed English cup and saucer with floral decoration in raised enamels, Victorian, c 1850-70. The glaze is named after Jackfield, a town in Shropshire where pottery with a jet black shiny glaze first was produced in the 18th century. A small Bilston patch box, enamel on copper, mid-18th century, in a design somewhere between Rococo and Louis XVI: the outer shape softly rounded, the pattern more strict, of diaper type, textile-like. Patches, often in black silk, were used to conceal scars or blemishes from smallpox or other diseases. At the time Bilston, a town in West Midlands was famous for their enamel boxes. Width "1 ¾ / 4.8 cm. Condition: enamel flakes to lid and base (cf. pics).

A Canton enamel squash blossom jewel or trinket box from the 1880s 1890s. This lovely and large Chinese enamel on metal box measures 4-1/2 x 3-1/2" and it stands 2-3/4" high on its foot rim. A pretty leaf shaped serving dish by Royal Copenhagen. Panted decoration of flowers, the twig handle with a rose and a forget-me-not flower in relief – the same as the handles used in the famous Flora Danica service. Impressed mark 2 and S, and the three waves of the manufacture in the version used around 1890. Length "7 1/5 / 18.5 cm. Condition: damage to the petals of the little forget-me-not flower.

Rich Green majolica plate by Wardle of England with leaf and grape pattern. Note the intentional crackling of the glaze in the large leaf. In excellent antique condition with some expected wear to the higher parts of the design and the edges. There is an old chip on the back (see last photo). The glaze is good throughout, any weird variations you might think you see are cause by my lighting. Plate measures 9 inches across. Dates 1880.

Very rare Imperial Russian silver child's fork with vermeil and engraved floral decoration. In fact, I've never before seen a piece of Russian children's flatware. The maker's hallmark on the back is slightly obscured by the design, but the assayer's mark (AA/1895), the standard mark (84), and the city mark (Moscow) are very clear.

Origin: Moscow, 1895. Condition: mint. Size: 4-3/4" long.

A bowl and a dish, slop bowl and stand, part of a tea service. Soft porcelain, made in Staffordshire around 1840. Pink luster geometric border pattern with flowers in reserves and enamelling in green, with some red and gilt. Diameter of bowl "6/ 15.3 cm, height "3/ 7.5 cm, diameter of dish "7 ½ / 19.5 cm. Condition: a hairline to the bowl and an old restoration to the border of the dish (cf. pics).

An 18th century faience desk set or inkwell for a lady, decoration of flower sprigs, mainly Forget me nots. French, possibly Rouen around 1780, Width "6 ¼ / 15.8 cm and height " / 5.7 cm. The base with four little feet and mark W in black, maybe for William Sturgeon who owned one of the Rouen factories from 1776. Condition: later restorations having been removed, now left with cracks and hairlines (cf. pics) but still charming.

A scarce Arts and Crafts American art pottery coffee pot by Clifton Art Pottery of New Jersey. This 6-7/8" tall coffee pot is in the lovely "Crystal Patina" glaze and it dates to the 1902-6 period. It has the stamped Clifton mark and an underglaze 272-30; it is in very good original condition with no chips, crazing, damage or repairs other than the loss of the lid and a tight hairline on the bottom only (not showing on the interior at all)...

Three perfume bottles: a white opaline bottle with arabesque decoration in blue and gilt, a white opaline with a winding snake in blue and a dark blue bottle with decoration of small flowers in white enamel and gilt. All three late 19th century. No stoppers. Height "3 ½ - 5 ¾ / 9 – 14.5 cm. Condition: fine, except for some wear to the gilt.

Staffordshire poodle figure with confetti "fur" and painted facial details.

Origin: England, circa 1850. Condition: excellent, except that the tip of the front paw has been professionally repaired (difficult to see without a blacklight). Size: 3-3/4" tall.

This crystal dresser jar was produced in Belgium in the early 20th century. It is not signed but we believe it was made by Val St. Lambert. We have seen this pattern before. The jar measures 3 3/8 inches in diameter and 2 1/8 inches high. The crystal is hand blown and cut with panels and star bursts. The lid has floral decorations that are acid etched from green to clear. The workmanship is very fine and detailed. Condition: Excellent

Cut steel brooch, early Victorian, c 1850 or possibly somewhat earlier, with hand cut studs riveted to a brass plate. Some of the studs with as much as 21 facets. Cut steel jewelry were often used in the evening, to create a sparkling, diamond-like effect. Width "1 ½ / 4 cm, height "2 ½/ 6,5 cm. Condition: a few studs missing (cf pics).

A pair of pressed glass beakers, Victorian, mid19th century. Blue, tending towards turquoise and very finely modeled, the bases with foliate rims. Height "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: fine.

A signed Royal Bayreuth miniature rose tapestry basket with pink and yellow roses. The basket is 3 3/4 inches tall.

A vintage, crisply patterned early Canadian pressed or pattern glass 8-1/2" pitcher in the Nova Scotia Starflower pattern (Trenton Glass). Also known as Dewdrop and Flowers (Sandwich 1870s-80s) in the United States, this pitcher is in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than a tiny fleabite chip at the bottom of the handle (see image)...

Elegant sterling silver berry serving spoon with very high quality bright cut floral engraving. The matte-finished bowl is engraved with a rose motif while the handle has a variety of flowers and foliage. The reverse is marked "Sterling" and "J.S. MacDonald". The firm was in business in Baltimore, circa 1900. Excellent condition, no monogram. 8.75" long.

A small jug, an 18th century model skillfully copied after a cruet set from the faïencerie of Veuve Perrin in Marseilles (1760 – 1803). To one side a gentle couple harvesting - a mock rural scenery - and to the other floral decoration, all in 18th century Rococo style. From the Parisian factory of Edme Samson, made a hundred years later when ambitions were high to create true copies of the old and admired techniques and styles...

English Edwardian cake knife, the blade engraved with a bird among flowers, the handle faux ivory resin. Marks för Atkin brothers in Sheffield and year mark for 1910. Length "9 ½ / 24 cm. Condition: a hairline and some yellowing to the handle.

Wonderful figural sterling silver child's spoon especially for Easter. The handle is decorated with two chicks recently hatched from their eggs above the word "Easter" and an Easter lily. Interestingly, the teardrop shape of the bowl is that used in Victorian times for egg spoons. The back is marked by Durgin and also by D. Low of Salem, MA (maker of the famous Salem Witch spoon). Circa 1890. 4.5" long. Excellent condition, including intact gilding on the interiors of the cracked eggs.

A Doulton Burslem Hand Painted Cabinet Plate with Three Birds in the Center Reserve. Registration number 97183 for 1888. There is a very slight chip on the edge (visible in the detail photo).

Three perfume bottles: a green and white opaline overlay, cut and gilt bottle, an English white opaline and painted bottle and a brown clear glass bottle, cut and decorated in gilt. All three late 19th century, the first and last probably Bohemian. Height "3 ½ - 5 ¼ / 9 – 13 cm. No stoppers. Condition of all three: fine.

Black basalt milk jug with an elegant leaf handle. Engine turned in a bamboo-like pattern. England, Wedgwood style, c 1800-1820. Height "4 ½ / 11.5 cm. Condition: hairline near the base of the handle (cf. pic).

Early flint glass water goblet on round foot with thin stem rising to cylindrical bowl wheel etched with flowers and leaves. Excellent condition.

The goblet belonged to the collection of Lenna Gertrude Clarke Judd (1865 - 1939) who moved from New York City in 1903 to Dalton, Georgia where she became a well respected philanthropist through out the sate. We have the complete provenance from Mrs Judd down to the present.

A very nice Nanking Chinese export porcelain plate. The blue decoration is finely worked and the body color is excellent.

Origin: China, ca. 1820. Condition: very good, no chips, two tight 1" hairlines visible on the back side at the rim. Size: 8" diameter.

German pewter vase by Kayserzinn, c 1900. Relief decoration of Marguerites in Jugendstil/Art Nouveau. Impressed marks 50, Kayserzinn, 4081 and an incised P. Height "3¼/ 8,5 cm. Condition: a few nicks to the lower part of the vase as seen on photos.

A group of pink lusterware made by Allerton, Staffordshire: slop bowl, two cups and three saucer bowls, all decorated with the Dahlia flowers typical of Charles Allerton & Sons, c 1860-70. Pattern numbers (?) 22, 707 and 701. Diameter of slop bowl "5½ / 14 cm, height of cups "2 ½ / 6.5 cm, diameter of saucers c. "5½ / 14 cm. Condition: wear to part of the decoration, nick to the foot rim of the slop bowl, one saucer with a hairline (cf. pics).

Jugendstil pewter dish of trefoil shape, the wedges between the leaves filled with softly modelled violets. The base with three minimal ball feet for the balance. German, c 1900, marked Rein Zinn 95 % (Pure Pewter 95 %) under a crown. Width "6 ¾ / 17.5 cm. Condition: fine, keeping its original oxidized decoration and patina, never polished.

A pair of heavy Bristol wine glasses, peacock blue. Mouth blown and made around 1800 – 1810, the rim softly rounded. The pontil mark of one glass removed by grinding. Removal of the pontil mark was often done on lead “finer” glass (the lead allowed for cut designs). On the other glass the mark is deeper and so is still there, despite grinding. Height "4 ½ / 11.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Three perfume bottles: a very small white opaline bottle with a gilt border, probably a sampler, a clear glass bottle with long neck and exquisite gilding and a white opaline bottle with a fan motif in blue. The smallest probably French, Second Empire, the two others late 19th century – the clear glass bottle probably Italian. No stoppers. Height "2 ¼ - 4 ½ / 5.5 – 11.3 cm. Condition: fine.

Two soup plates and a dinner plate from Boch in Luxemburg, late 18th century. Under-glaze blue decoration of a posy with a trefoil /trèfle surronded by sprigs, the molded rim with a dented blue border. The molding and sprig pattern seen on these plates is now being produced by Villeroy & Boch under the name of Old Luxembourg...

English or Irish wine glass or rummer, Georgian, c 1830. The cup and stem are slice cut, the knop diamond cut or faceted and the foot star cut. Height "4 ½ / 11.3 cm. Condition: fine.

These porcelain inkwells were made as an advertising novelties for Carter's Ink in 1914. This example has nicely painted details and crisp modelling. The bottom is marked "Made In Germany." Excellent condition. 3.75" tall.

Antique silver gilt spoon, enameled decoration of Denmark’s coat of arms. Made by Marius Hammer of Bergen, Norway, c 1900. The famous Hammer workshop (1847-1927) produced exquisite enameled cutlery and jewelry for export to other countries. Maker’s mark MH and 830 S. Length "4 / 10 cm. Condition: fine.

A beautiful, hand-painted, diamond-quilted Bohemian wine glass. The amber-colored glass has transparent cabochons on it. The glass is 4 5/8 inches (12 cm) tall and 3 1/4 inches (8 cm) wide. It is in fine condition. It fluoresces in a gentle-green coloration - typical of late 19th century or early 20th century glass objects.

A Barbour Silver Co. silver plated tilt kettle, stand and associated burner from the 1890s. It has a simple, elegant design and it stands 13" tall from the top of the ebony wood handle to the bottom of the stand's ball feet. The base is unsigned, the kettle is stamped BARBOUR SILVER CO. Here is a Washington- and Masonic-themed spoon which is marked STERLING F.A. WHELAN. Both sides of the bowl, the hilt, and the tip are gold washed. It has a lot of Masonic symbolism incorporated into the design. The dates on the spoon handle (1732-1799) are the birth and death dates for George Washington, who was a Mason. A beautiful, hand enameled cup-and-saucer set, made by either Moser or Monot & Stumpf (of France). The under-plate is 4 3/8 inches (11 cm) wide, while, the cup is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide and 1 3/4 inches (4,5 cm) tall. They are both in fine condition. There is slight fluorescence when they are subjected to long-wavelength UV light - so, they were probably made around 1900.

Beautiful Peachblow glass Pair - these were souvenirs sold at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. The glass pear is 5 inches high and 2 1/2 inches wide. The glass is in fine condition.

Nice porcelain footed mug with a transfer print entitled "Sands & Railway Station Ramsgate--A Present From Ramsgate". The scene shows the railway station in the background with bathers in the foreground. Queen Victoria lived in Ramsgate for a time before ascending the throne. After the railway came to the shore, Ramsgate became a very popular tourist destination. The rim is decorated with a gilt band.
