A large Tahitian "black ocean pearl" oyster shell (Pinctada margaritifera) depicting a fisherwoman, finely carved in northern France or Belgium probably during the last quarter of the 19th Century. Condition: excellent - no damages or losses. 19.3cm (7.1 inches) high;17cm (6.7 inches) wide.

A single series opaque twist drinking glass with an extremely gutsy presence. Single series glasses are rarer than double series opaque twists glasses, and this one, with its round funnel bowl, and opaque twist comprised of a multi-ply outlined corkscrew is a very strong example, with a large foot. 6 inches tall, 2 5/16 inch bowl diameter, 3 1/16 inch foot diameter.

A superb example of a triple knopped double series opaque twist (DSOT) antique wine glass. The bell bowl sits above a stem with a pair of 3-ply spiral bands around a central gauze, and shoulder, medial, and basal knops. 6 1/2 inches tall, 2 11/16 inch bowl diameter, 2 7/8 inch foot diameter. Unlike many multi-knopped opaque twists, which are poorly fashioned and on the spindly side, this glass is elegantly executed and proportioned.

A fine baluster wine glass with a solid base funnel bowl atop a stem with a teared acorn knop and a basal knop. Acorn knops are one of the least common formations in baluster glasses. The glass has a conical folded foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

An attractive blue & white dinner plate by Royal Worcester (England). It is covered with Oriental motifs, which was quite popular in English china in the 1870s. It is date stamped for 1876 and measures 10 3/8" across. It is in excellent overall condition, but does show signs of use - there are cut marks on the plate, and the glaze shows darker/brownish at the edges where the glaze appears to have been more thinly applied...

A Pair of Sterling Silver Sugar Tongs by Tiffany in the "English King" Pattern. The Inside is Marked "Tiffany & Co. Sterling Pat. 1885". The Tongs are 4" in length and in excellent condition (there is some glare in the photos. There is a very small monogram on one side.

Words can hardly describe this spectacular Art Pottery centerbowl, made by Amphora Work Riessner, Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia, with the 1918-1939 Riessner company mark ); also marked 20122, 43, and C. The large ivory basketweave bowl with delicate applied flowers is supported by beautifully modeled figures of a boy and girl in pastel drape. Condition: Restored; very minor _ in. hairline crack in boy’s hair, firing crack on base. Measurement: 14 _ in. diam x 11 _ in. high.

A fine multiple spiral air twist (MSAT) wine glass. The flared bell bowl surmounts a stem that has the rare feature of a vermiform collar. Conical foot with rough, snapped pontil. 6 inches in height, with a bowl diameter of 2 9/16 inches, and an extremely generous foot diameter of 3 1/8 inches. Perfect condition.

A very unusual Bohemian zwischengoldglass liquor glass, the bottom featuring an inset gilt and enameled design of a ladybug. The panel cutting along the beaker’s sides causes the design to be visually repeated. Small beakers such as these are normally decorated with a flower. This is the only example we’ve seen with an insect. The ladybug traditionally symbolizes good luck, so perhaps that's why it appears here.

A beautiful Bohemian wine glass with panelled sides, a bowl wonderfully engraved with a woman seated in a garden, a facet cut stem, and elongated rondels cut into the folded foot; 5 7/8" tall, 2 1/2" diameter bowl, 2 7/8" diameter foot

A hexagonal Worcester teapot stand circa 1760 with molded chrysanthemums overlaid by blue painted blossoms which are repeated in a garland formation on the interior rim. Diameter is approximately 5 inches (12.7 cm), and height is approximately 5/8 of an inch (1.6 cm).

Condition: Slight discoloration on bottom. No chips, cracks, or repairs.

The teapot stand is an attractive shape with a nice contrast between the painting and molding.

Magnificent large French amphora. The finely detailed enamel scenary was made utilizing "petit poi" method. The ornate base is made of bronze.
Measures: 12.5" (approx. 32 cm) length X 9" (aprox 23 cm) diameter.

A beautifully formed double series opaque twist (DSOT) firing glass of dram size. The ogee bowl with basal fluting surmounts a stem containing 4 spiral threads outside of an inner gauze. A wonderful American folk art mourning portrait painting of a young child, done by Horace Bundy. Although unsigned by him, virtually all the characteristics that indicate such an attribution are present. In addition, an old label from an antiques dealer is on the back, along with a pencilled inscription about Bundy on the backing board.

A striking antique English porcelain coffee cup. Made at the Worcester factory during the Dr. Wall, or First Period, it is painted with the Pu Tai pattern in beautiful, bright enamels. It shows Pu-Tai, also known as the Laughing Buddha, seated, with two attendants. The cup has a slightly everted rim, a handle of the grooved loop type, and the interior border is gilded in addition to the iron red enamel.

Lovely small cut crystal decanter with faceted stopper, early 20th century American Brilliant Period. An elegant and beautiful lead Jacobite toasting glass engraved by "Engraver B" in Seddon's book. The drawn trumpet bowl has a 6 petal rose, an open rose bud to its left, and a closed rose bud to its right.

It is very unusual to find a true set of 18th century lead glass English roehmers, even in the green color which is the most common. To find this deep and beautiful amethyst color set was truly exceptional.

The glasses have large cup bowls on hollow blown stems with applied raspberry prunts, and collars on the upper portion of the stems. The conical feet have applied trailings, and rough snapped pontils.

A George III Silver Serving or Entrée or Vegetable Dish with Cover; assayed in London in 1811 and bearing the makers mark "WB" (either William Bell, Bennett, or Bateman). Fully marked. Dimensions; 11" x 8" x 5" to handle; weight 44.8 Troy ounces. Twist off handle. Some minor knocks on bottom, but in very good overall condition.

A single series air twist (SSAT) stem, much less common than the normal multiple spiral air twist (MSAT); a pleasing glass with a trumpet bowl; 7" tall, 3.3" diameter foot, 3.1" diameter bowl

The fully ribbed round funnel bowl on this glass elevates it above the ordinary into an elegant and striking wine glass. The double series opaque twist stem consists of a spiral band surrounding a single spiral tape. Rough snapped pontil. There has been a slight polish to a small section of the foot, probably to remove a nick, as it has not reduced the foot size at all.

5 1/4" tall, 2 1/8" bowl diameter, 2 1/2" foot diameter.

Exquisite cut glass flower centre bowl in the Glenwood pattern by J. D. Burgen, 1899. This bowl was made in three sizes, and this 12 inch one is the largest of the three. It is in perfect original condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. It is referenced and pictured in the Encyclopedia of American Cut and Engraved Glass by Michael Pearson, Volume 1, page 58.

It is highly uncommon for dram size glasses to have a domed foot, and this is a superb example. The ogee bowl is above a double series opaque twist (DSOT) stem consisting of spiral bands outside of central spiral tapes. Rough snapped pontil.

A beautiful facet cut ale glass with gilded hops and barley, decorated by the famous and much desired craftsman, James Giles. The facet cutting extends from the base, through the stem and 1/3 up the bowl.

Standing 5 7/8 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8 inches, and a foot diameter of 2 1/2 inches, the glass is of 2 part construction and is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. The gilding, which is generally quite worn on glasses, is superb, with just some minima...

Wine rinsers or wine washers were used to cool or rinse wine glasses between courses of meals. At formal meals of this type, beer or ale would not be served. Therefore, the engraving of hops and barley on this rinser is very unusual and a bit inexplicable, as this type engraving was specifically used on ale glasses. The rinser is 3 1/2" tall and 4' in diameter.

The most common type of air twist found in mid-18th century English glasses is the multiple spiral air twist (MSAT). Double series air twists are occasionally found, but triple series twists are incredibly rare, with very few still in existence. This particular example has an ogee bowl leading into a stem with a central air core surrounded by a two ply heavy thread which is in turn surrounded by a three ply heavy thread. Offered is this set of three, iridescent, 'Favrile' glass shades, with zippered pattern, made by Quezal around 1910. All shades are signed. Each shade is 4 1/2 inches wide, 3 1/2 inches high and have the standard 2 1/4 inches fitter width. They are in very good condition - one shade has a fleabite on the fitter-rim (see picture) and there is some roughness on the fitter-rim of one shade.

A Victorian Burr Walnut Slant Front Stationary Box or Cabinet; with Stepped Stationary Slots, Pen Drawer, Ceramic Note Board and Calendar Windows. A wonderful example of this well-known and highly collected historical Staffordshire scene. This plate is 6 3/4" in diameter, with the impressed Clews mark on the reverse. The condition is superb, with deep color, high clarity, sparkling glaze, and no chips, cracks, scratches, or restoration. It is as fine an example as one could hope for.
