Table mirror, resting on 2 feet. At the back, a wooden board unfolds to form a third leg to provide a good base for use on a table. Otherwise, folded, can be used as a hanging mirror. Given its small size and that fold-up leg feature, I think this is probably a travel model...

English Gilt Wood Mirror

Fine 18th-century English carved and gilt wood mirror with corner rosettes and later, distressed mirror plate. Circa 1760-80.

Pair French 18th century Louise XV pier mirror, gilt and patinated Polychrome pale green painted on wood, 40" high, 15" wide, 1 1/2" deep, with carved low relief gold fluted decorated frame on top. Mirror plate is one(1) piece with blackened spots(picture shows horizontal line near the bottom area which is reflection of the room background), and backing is original wooden boards with square steel nails. There are some gesso chips off from the original finish...

DESCRIPTION: A fine antique folk art frame with deeply set mirror, the frame intricately inlaid with multi-colored woods forming geometric designs including diamonds, stars, fans and other parquetry motifs. This is a wonderful folk art piece executed with obvious skill; narrow beaded inner frame is gold leaf. Excellent condition, no losses or cracks. Provenance: Clifford A. American high quality multiple step deep carved rectangle size Mirror, 38" high, 47" wide, 4 3/4" deep, the gold frame itself is 6 1/2" wide and 4 3/4" deep with multiple step, circa 1920, wide deep carved floral and wreath of berry and vines on inner frame and more floral wreath on outer frame, high and low relief carved design with polished and highlighted with burnished gold finish on the entire frame. The quality of work is very good and gilding is superb quality...

Outstanding American late Classical mirror framed in solid well-figured mahogany with a gilt applied composition border of bellflowers. The gilding has a particularly rich patina. The glass is old and 1/4" thick, but probably not original, and has dulled to a very nice patina. The plate is backed with a wood panel that is covered with paper. The nails holding the plate in place have been replaced.

Origin: America, probably mid-Atlantic region, ca. 1840...

Pair of Alhambra bronze mirrors by Tiffany Co., with incised middle eastern designs over surface, with scrolling elements around mirror, and cross hatching and geometric motifs on handle, round hook at top of both for hanging. Measure 14" high, 7 3/8" in diameter, and roughly 1/2" deep. The backs are different, one is just flat, the other with step design, both types found in these mirrors...

From our European Collection, a good late 19th / early 20th century cast iron mirror, probably English. A charming but unpretentious piece that can complement many different styles of decor.

Size and Condition: 28 1/4 inches tall, 16 inches wide. Excellent condition, no repairs or restoration and the glass appears to be original: Some general wear to the ironwork commensurate with age as seen in the second close-up, but this only adds to the charm.

An unusual and attractive pair of tall mirrors, each reverse painted with a basket of flowers suspended from a green and gold tassel, further decorated with swags of bellflowers suspended from green and gold ribbons. Encased in original carved mahogany frames with original wood backboards .

Excellent condition with no issues. The sight size of each is 23 1/2" by 11 3/8" and the overall size of each is 34" by 22".

English Chippindale period Mahogany Looking Glass, Mirror, Ca. 1780, 37" high, 20 1/2" wide, 1 1/4" deep, original Gilded Phoenix Bird in the center reticulated open framed top, original glass mirror bordered by original gold inner frame. The backing is old replacement and there are some repair of the carved top area, reinforced with thin pieces of wood in the back.

A wonderful folksy American mirror featuring an original paint decorated frame with a red ground and black stripes. All original, including the glass and the backboard. Excellent condition, and with overall measuments of 16 1/2" by 12 3/4".

A American Federal era split column looking glass, retaining the original gold leaf finish. Early 19th century. Size: 32 in. ht. x 17.5 in. width. A desirable large size and in very good condition.
