A fancy ornate brass oval frame having trefoil cartouches with leaves and edged with beading encircle the mirror held up by easel stand whose stretcher is detached from the frame. However the stand is still most functional. The frame is a very elegant reminder of a lost craft. From our European Collection, a good late 19th / early 20th century cast iron mirror, probably English. A charming but unpretentious piece that can complement many different styles of decor.

Size and Condition: 28 1/4 inches tall, 16 inches wide. Excellent condition, no repairs or restoration and the glass appears to be original: Some general wear to the ironwork commensurate with age as seen in the second close-up, but this only adds to the charm.

English Chippendale Mahogany Looking Glass, Mirror, 18th C> 25" high, 15" wide, 1 1/2" deep, very nice flame Mahogany grain and old wooden back board. One(1) ear or tip has been replaced later date.

Outstanding American late Classical mirror framed in solid well-figured mahogany with a gilt applied composition border of bellflowers. The gilding has a particularly rich patina. The glass is old and 1/4" thick, but probably not original, and has dulled to a very nice patina. The plate is backed with a wood panel that is covered with paper. The nails holding the plate in place have been replaced.

Origin: America, probably mid-Atlantic region, ca. 1840...

This is the most beautiful original 18th Century Italian carved wood frame with gilding and partial Polychrome painted Mirror, Ca. mid 1700's, 35" high, 28" wide, 2 1/2" to 3" deep. Mirror glass is all original, nothing replaced and also the finish on carved wood frame is also original with Polychrome paints and gilding partially. Backing is original wooden panel...

An unusual and attractive pair of tall mirrors, each reverse painted with a basket of flowers suspended from a green and gold tassel, further decorated with swags of bellflowers suspended from green and gold ribbons. Encased in original carved mahogany frames with original wood backboards .

Excellent condition with no issues. The sight size of each is 23 1/2" by 11 3/8" and the overall size of each is 34" by 22".

A American Federal era split column looking glass, retaining the original gold leaf finish. Early 19th century. Size: 32 in. ht. x 17.5 in. width. A desirable large size and in very good condition.
