Rare Mahogany Brass Bound Bottle Cooler, late 18th C., with pierced handle and shaped rim, the sides with three brass bands and the top edge with a line of boxwood stringing. English, circa 1780. Originally with a tin liner.

European German Coffee set in Silver Repoussé, Coffee pot 10.5”, Sugar bowl 5”, creamer 5”

Rose quartz carnelian seal fob / stamp: an intaglio of three fleurs de lys under a royal crown, the French pre-revolutionary official seal, c 1790 or earlier. Width "4/5/ 2 cm. Condition: fine.

Rare American Federal tea caddy in nicely figured mahogany with three sides and stepped lid inlaid with banding and corner fan decoration; rectangular, with shaped skirt and French bracket feet and divided interior. Probably 1800. Provenance: The Cockrell Collection. See Montgomery, American Furniture, The Federal Period, #436-439 for other examples. Height, 9.25”; Length, 12”; Width, 6.5.”

Fine George III Oval Brass Bound Peat Bucket with mahogany staves and brass banding, liner and loop handle. English, Circa 1780. 13" x 10" x 12.5" (not including handle)

Armor Decoration French 18th Century Majolica signed “St. Clément” Plates unusual size pair measuring 9.75”. Majolica is a soft paste earthenware clay that is tin glazed and fired, resulting in a blank, opaque surface on which artists could paint intricate designs in rich colors.

Small table snuff box made of lacquered papier-maché, the glass lid with reverse engraved and painted decoration. Inside is a shell and two strands of hair. There is no lock; the snuff box was intended not to be carried around in a pocket, but to be placed on a shelf or a table where it displayed well. Probably Scandinavian, made around 1800 or earlier, unusual. Diameter 2" / 5 cm, height ¾ "/ 2 cm. Condition: the mirror glass cracked, wear consistent with age (cf pics).

Charming American Miniature Blanket Chest in chestnut, having a hinged moulded edge top opening to a well, a single lower drawer and raised on straight bracket feet. Note the fine dovetail work on the sides.

American 1780-1800.

Many miniatures are labeled as "salesman's samples" but many were the work of apprentices to show their skills to the master craftsman.

Rather whimsical Georgian III Tea Caddy in the form of two conjoined single caddies, rectangular, with hinged lid opening to two lidded compartments and the whole raised on ball form feet. Only the right hand escutcheon has a working lock.
