Lovely American tiger oak server with bevelled mirrored back, two drawers over one long drawer over two doors with a small shelf between them. It has Queen Anne legs and the moulding on top of the mirror is curved, ending with small rosettes. Thie piece measures 45" wide x 56" tall x 22 1/2" deep.

A finely made and carved Louis XV style side chair, 19th century. Upholstered with fragments from an 18th century hunt themed tapestry. A charming and atmospheric interior accent. The chair in good, serviceable condition with expected wear. The upholstery simply divine - showing it’s age with conservation preserving its decorative impact. Seat height, about 18 inches. Back height about 38 1/2 inches.

Beautiful mahogany banded dining table, Federal style with double pedestal with brass decoration and casters. Measures 44" wide x 70" long without leaves, and includes two 18" leaves so that it is 106" when fully extended.

This antique Japanese merchant chest (Choba Tansu) is a rare and exquisite piece of Japanese history. It was crafted using Paulownia (Kiri) and Cryptomeria (Sugi) woods. A German, domed top chest with ornamental hand wrought iron hardware, heavily oxidized and worn original surface and paint, and marked in white “T Adam Schuch reifst nach New York”. The chest looks like 17th century work. The name and destination likely added in the 18th century upon immigration. Reasonably good decoration considering the history. Length, 35 inches. Height, 17 1/2 inches. Depth, 18 1/2 to 19 inches (varying due to movement of the wood at the joinings).

An antique Japanese Sendai Tansu in a rare 2 section design made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware with Urushi lacquer finish. Rounded Mokko style handles with Chrysanthemum lock plates surrounded by an arabesque leaf pattern. Four large drawers with a hinged security door that hides two small drawers.

A rare antique Japanese Sakata Funa Tansu (Captain's chest for uniform storage) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Kiri (Paulownia) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute exterior handles and the Warabite interior handles. Lift-off security door opens to two drawers where the captain's uniform would have been stored. Fully framed in iron.

Swirling free standing bronze dragon reaching upward supporting a golden rutilated quartz energy ball. Three claws on each of the four feet. The dragon has an arching twisted body with an open mouth. Original patina with natural variation of bronze tones.

Antique Chinese guan pi xiang (document box), made of huanghuali. Top opens to a tray-shaped storage area. The doors are made with dramatic huanghauli wood burl panels and open to reveal 5 drawers (4 small drawers and 1 larger one).
