The graphic impact of this blanket box with paint decoration is absolutely stunning. It is swirl decorated in black over a yellowish-putty color, and virtually all the paint is intact. An antique Japanese Kansai Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) in 2 sections made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute style handles. Three pairs of sliding doors of varying sizes with 8 drawers on the upper half and 5 drawers to the bottom half. There is a split level shelf behind each set of doors.

Exquisite rosewood marble top center table crafted in the 1850s. It is attributed to Joseph Meeks, one of the top cabinet makers in New York of the period. This table is carved on all four sides, each side differently, with beautiful flowers. The knees are also heavily carved, and the center finial is a work of art in itself. The table has always been well cared for, and is in its original finish with the original marble top. It measures 30" tall, 41" wide, and 29" deep...

Very unusual American victorian check of walnut and burl. It has two small drawers on top and four large drawers on the bottom. The design is one of flowers, and is framed with a burl border. Circa 1880, very different.

Dimensions; 21" wide, 37.75" high, 13.75" deep (24.5" with desk opened). Small nick on back of rear right leg (visible in picture) and some wear on the stretcher, otherwise in very good condition.

This is a Austrian rural style chest, a so called carved " Bauerntruhe " from Styria. Softwood ( pine needle wood ) This piece from about 1750 originaly was only to open from upwards. To make this nice piece more useable for everydays use, there recentely was made 2 doors into the front side of the chest. These 2 doors are not visible, when they are closed.
