Of the over 10,000 artifacts that the late world famous Dr. Allen Heflin found, this little miniature hand-molded ceramic figurine ranks among the rarest. It is from the unattributed Preclassic Period, C1200-900BC. It is 2" long and in perfect condition with no chips or dings. It still has traces of red and white pigment. Heflin found this little treasure on 12-21-60 and is so marked on the back. It is from Cuautitlan. It is wearing ear spools, headdress and armbands.

Mesa Verde squash effigy canteen ca. 1000 ad., it is approx: 7-1/2"high X 6"wide, it is whole except for handle was broken off about half way down handle and re-glued back on, the very tip of handle the crack was restored. I have been told that they intentionally stained the body with cactus juice to give it a ripen squash look, this canteen would have had a yucca plug in it to hold the water in as they traveled. This very fine drilled 6 1/4" carved bone shawl or hair pin depicts three birds eating a large snake and is engraved on both sides. It is beautifully patinated.

This rare Archaic E-Notch point, made from translucent gray glossy flintridge, is in perfect condition. It has heavy grinding on the base and in the bottom portion of the notches. This is a classic example of the type and is beautifully beveled. It was found near Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio. Comes with a Gregory Perino certificate of authenticity and shows very nice mineralization and patination.

This phenomenal 7 3/16" Llama Bone Flute is highly engraved with human effigy carvings with crown or headdress and was recovered in Pisac, Peru near Machu Picchu. It is highly polished. It is so translucent that when backlit with a flashlight, light passes through both sides of the bone. It has beautiful patina. A lot of work and pride went into creating this beauty. I purchased it from Jim Bennett who has written several books on detecting fakes and reproductions.

This extremely rare incised Eagle effigy Aztec pipe was found by the famous Dr. Allen Hefin in western Mexico on 5/25/63. This piece is flawless in every way except for a tiny nick on the bottom of the stem. The patina is wonderful. It is 7" long and the bowl is 1" wide. This pipe is classified as a Michoacán procedentes and only a handful are known to exist. Three Aztec pipes were sold at Sotheby's auction on March 23rd, 2015 for $12,176. None were near as nice as this one...
