The three points are carved in silex and other stone. They can probably be dated to the 2nd.-1st. millenium BC...

Interesting little lot of pre-columbian pottery antiquities, ca. 600-1200 AD.

Lot consists of a nicely engraved spindlewhorl, a cure and intact pottery bird whistle, a stone head and a scarce pottery mould for casting a head.

The head is ca. 7 cm. wide for comparison.

A canning jar from an early American pottery. H.8.5'x Base Dia.5". This 19th century canning jar (pot) has a rich brown glaze (Albany slip?) and exhibits the simple beauty of traditional functional pottery. It makes a wonderful flower vase.

This 45-70 cartridge case was found with a metal detector by a friend of mine at the "Dull Knife Battle Site" fought in November, 1878 from the "Big Hole in the Wall" area in Wyoming.

A female Colima figure from the pre-Classic period [1200 BC-300AD]. She wears a hat, earrings, necklace and shoulder ornamentation. There are stress cracks of the arm, neck and leg which have been professionally restored. It shows strong yellow and red pigmentation. 9" high.

A silver Fred Harvey open-top creamer. Early-mid twentieth century. Engraving on bottom reads, "International Silver Co.; Silver Soldered; Fred Harvey; 09; 4 oz; 61[boxed in]". Exterior in excellent-mint condition, mild corrosion on the interior bottom. 3 1/4" tall; 2" diameter.

This is an extremely fine frame of bone artifacts which includes needles, awls, pendants, harpoons, spoon and arrowheads. The harpoons are from New England. I purchased the flute from Tom Davis. He said it was the best he had ever seen. Most are from Tom Davis, Gilbert Cooper and Michael Hough. The large center arrowhead is a deassentioned piece from a Colorado museum with COA and paperwork. It used to be that bone was a safe area to collect. Not anymore. Most of what is on eBay is now fake...

Alexandria, VA had a thriving salt-glazed stoneware industry throughout most of the 19th Century. Many pieces are marked with the makers name and "ALEXa" or "DC/ALEXa". Some common makers were John Swann, B.C. Milburne, H.C. Smith and E.J.Miller (a retailer). We are always interested in purchasing examples of Alexandria stoneware. This extremely rare green slate pendant is 3 1/8" in diameter and is from Eastern Oklahoma dating to the Mississipian Period. The incised motifs are two antler-headed panther rattlesnakes with weeping/forked eye, four hands with eye in the palm and a central stylized eye. Each hand is set so that the fingers point in one of the sacred directions. The entire outside edge is incised with lines reminiscent of the shell mask hairlines and there are four stylized antlers at the four directions...

These extremely rare grizzly chaps were obtained while in northern Wyoming near the Montana border. They were mounted on a board and labeled on the back, "Blackfoot Montana Territory". The chaps are of rifle caliber, with two rows of loops, the lower row smaller in diameter than the upper...

This extraordinarily rare Olmec necklace has 57 beads all made from Imperial green true jadeite. All are highly translucent except 4 small beads. It measures 30" when strung open from end to end. It has been restrung in modern times. I have never seen nor heard of pre-Columbian imperial jadeite of this quality.
