A choice and large Western Asian bronze sword dating to c. 2nd mill. BC. 'Luristan' Turkmenistan / Uzbekistan bronze age.

The sword with round shoulders and a prominent central midrib. The tang has a bend near the tip.

Size is 51 cm.

Condition: A choice sword with some encrustations. Vry slight edge roughness. Nice green bronze patina. Will improve much if cleaned properly.

It is very widespread in the art of the Ancient Near East and Egypt. The figure is normally male, but not always, the animals may be realistic or fantastical, and the figure may have animal elements such as horns, or an animal upper body.

This is a very interesting bronze, socketed spear from ancient Greece or Persia. It has a slightly swollen midrib accented with incised lines. The socket is split at the original seam and there are some losses. The blade has what appears to be ancient battle damage, making this quite a unique piece for any collection. The overall length is roughly 18 cm and the weight is 130 grams.
