Incense burner in copper alloy (cast bronze and embossed and cut brass). Oriental work from the 19th century or before. Probably Ottoman but maybe Syrian? The hinge was consolidated by a riveted piece of metal and one of the three feet was replaced as one of the photos shows? The three legs are fixed to the base by a system of finely executed 'butterfly' nuts. The assembly is slightly twisted as can be seen in the photos. Height: 25cm Diameter: 20cm

A lovely large Assyro-Babylonian stamp seal with a particlarly interesting shape, carved of fine smoky grey calchedony, c. 9th.-7th. cent. BC.

The scaraboid is carved almost like an oval hat with a pointy raised center and sides tappering inwards. The engraving on the base is of a large seated winged animal in the drill style.

A puzzling piece made in patinated bronze or silver. The alloy is very white, so it could be silver too. Luristan, 1st. millenium BC. The piece is perhaps a horsebit or horse-equipment. It's decorated with two rams heads on each side of a long pole that has two bases.

One of the largest tablet or brick seals, we've ever offered. Bifacial tablet seals can normally be dated to around the 3rd. millenium BC. This is so delicately carved that it could be made somewhat later in the 2nd. mill. BC.

The black serpentine seal depicts a large Bee, filling the whole of the seal, and on the other side a Scorpion. Particularly, the Bee is masterfully engraved, so that even tiny details and textures of the bee can be seen...

Fine red-figure lekythos decorated with a woman clad in a heavy himation, her wrapped hands in front of her chest. The finely pleated chiton underneath rendered with dilute glaze.
The woman stands in front of a column with prominent capital and base, on the right a suspended sash.
The frieze with a key pattern and top and a reserved ground line. Two bands of (faded) tongues on the shoulder. Outer edge and bottom of the foot reserved.
