Egyptian head of a king with tightly fitting headdress, the uraeus and the vulture partially preserved on the forehead.
Eyes and eyebrows recessed to bear inlays. Also the body of the rearing uraeus was originally inlayed.
Attractive facial features with slightly aquiline nose and full lips, the almond-shaped eyes with cosmetic lines to the outer corners. False beard missing.

This is a lovely ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1400 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 9/16” long (14 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.
Impressive filigree silver 'temple' ring of a very elaborate type, Viking settlers from Scandinavia (Kingdom of the Rus or Kievan Rus), present day Ukraine, c. 800-1000 AD.
Beautiful and still wearable temple ring, in solid silver, which consists of a bow ring with a loop and an elaborately carved filigree bead. These rings were worn from a headband around the temples by Viking Rus women, hence the name Temple rings.

A terrific oversized bronze figural Bell, Luristan, c. 1200-800 BC.
The bronze Goat with exceptionally long curving horns and forelegs and with it's body evolving into a large openwork bell. Probably once with a small loop at the end, now lost.
Size: 13,6 cm. long and 9 cm. tall. A high unusual size for these which are normally quite small.
Condition: Near Extremely fine, but for the lost loop finial. Lovely dark green patina with earthern encrustations.
A nice pair of ancient Near East Bronze javelins / spear points. Likely Neo-Elamite, dating to around 1200-800 BC.
Commonly called 'Luristani' by dealers and collectors. Both with tangs, prominent central midribs. Both have incised criss cross patterns near the bottom of the blades on ones side.

An exquisite ancient Roman imperial marble head of a woman, C. 1st - 2nd Century AD
Depicted in her youth with a serene expression on her face, her oval face with a rounded chin and slightly-parted full lips, the almond shaped heavy-lidded eyes beneath a softly curving brows arching gracefully and merging with the bridge of her nose, her forehead peaked at the center, the luscious wavy hair center parted.

Eros leans on an oval shield which rests on a square altar. The chubby god of love is shown with crossed leg, both arms rest on an oval shield with broad border.
The oval face absorbed in thought, parted hair with wavy strands, all surmounted by a stippled wreath.
