This is an authentic nephrite pendant dating to the Qing dynasty. Two zoomorphic figures frame the central bi on this exceptionally well-carved object. The piece shows substantial alteration in the stone, which is of a grayish hue with a large darker area on one side. Height is 2-3/4" by 3-1/4" in width. Please examine the photos which accurately capture the color and carving quality.

17th Century Chinese Celadon Color Jade Deep Carved Plaque with Duck on Wood Stand

Description:

A Houtien jade rabbit was well rendered in simple form.
In characteristics of early periods, the jade pebble was in greasy feel and was suffused with brownish incursions in portions.
Stone crackles were also resulted due to age.
An original drilling hole was in the middle of the body on the side.
It was used for hanging.
On one side beside the hole, there was a shallow drilling scar left for unknown reason...

You are considering a rare and beautiful Archaic Chinese Jade Scepter or Tablet, "Gui," dating to circa 2000BC. The piece measures 7.5 inches (18.5cm) in length and is, as one would expect, carved (drilled and polished) entirely by hand. As the photos will show, the stone is predominantly a gray-green nephrite, with some areas of darker brown. There are "striations" visible on the surface, which may indicate that the piece had been wrapped in a cloth/textile, which left an imprint...

Splendid Chinese marble Moghul bowl with variety of gems inset in gold. The gems vary between beautiful and radiant ruby, emerald and sapphire. Decorated all over with a peony motif. This jade pendant is well-carved with a design of peony flowers and leaves in low relief. The carving extends to the back, though simpler and flatter. It is a deep green with areas of lighter mottling, but when held to the light, it shows a brilliant translucent apple-green. It has an old probably 14k gold jump ring for attachment.
