A very rare extremely large storage jar from the Chinese Song period, 960 -1126 AD.These jars were used for storage for Chinese trading vessels. They were then traded off to Chieftains in Southeast Asia and were considered sacred items. Most jars were from the Ming to the middle Qing Dynasties. A very large authentic Tang tomb guardian wearing a typical warrior's uniform standing on an evil earth creature with remains of the original pigments. The guardian was there to protect the tomb from these evil creatures. The item was found with its parts separated.Large statues like this were made in several parts. See last photo. A very large museum quality blue cobalt Jar. It is very, very rare to find this type of vase in cobalt blue, especially in this size and condition. The center of the vase has a relief of a dragon chasing the elusive flaming pearl. Size: H. 92.8cm. W. 46cm. Condition: Very good with no repairs or missing parts. One side has some calcification from being buried for a long time. It show up more in the photo than it actually is.

An extremely rare perfectly potted Zheghu Ban Partridge Breast mottled Tenmoku tea bowl. Looking inside this Tenmoku chawan is like glazing deep into the cosmos. There one can understand the meaning of microcosm and ask whether one is looking inward or outward; probably both.

The bowl gets its uniqueness from the fact that the glaze looks like a highly rare mixture of partridge-breast mottles that nearly look like oil-spots.
