Song dynasty, ca. 1200-1300

Probably made in the Longquan kilns, this bowl is of flaring conical form and has incised longitudinal lines on the exterior. The exterior is glazed in pale olive-green celadon and the glaze stops well above the foot. The foot and base are unglazed, exposing the light-gray porcelaneous body. The interior is glazed throughout. There is a small chip to the outer rim. Purchased in Kyoto, Japan around 1975.

A Longquan celadon dish decorated with nice of twin fish at interior center and incised floral sprays to cavetto side, covered overall with an olive green glaze, possibly Yuan/Ming dynasty in good condition except firing imperfection to be expose major orange peel effect, perhaps as an item that do not qualify but still in export. Somebody tried to polished the foot rim, otherwise is no any chip, no crack and free from restoration. Diameter: 27 cm.

Unusual early 19th (can be as early as 18th) century Chinese pewter covered round box, the cover with brass inlay of a flowering bush. Might have been used on scholar’s table for storing small items such as ink cakes. Beautiful patina, pleasantly heavy, wonderful feel of age to the piece. Diameter 3 3/8 inches, height 2 1/4 inches.

Inside of ring has embedded pipe scale from the glass working process and exterior layer of glass has stress crack with small chip missing...stress crack would also be from glass making process... but ring has been stable for couple of centuries...ring was bought in South China late 90s along with several other rings (all stone and sold) but this one was so unusual that I kept it ...really is lovely

Unusual 19th century (can be 18th century as is often a case with Chinese pewter) Chinese pewter altar vase for holding incense sticks, inlaid with brass on one side with three tiers depicting (from bottom towards the top): 1. Lotus leaves and bud issuing from a pond, 2. A deep with a flaming roundel above it, 3. Three birds on a gnarled flowering prunus tree issuing from rocks. Vertical sides of all the flanges are inlaid with brass as well...

19th century Chinese pewter covered box for storing small items on scholar’s desk engraved with flowering prunus on the top, and brass trim along ornately shaped rim. Beautifully made, pleasant patina. Stamped on the inside of the cover with maker’s seal in Chinese which reads HUANG YOU. Great patina, wonderful object for scholar’s table. Height with cover 1 inch, length 4 3/4 inches.

Hand carved natural jadeite pendant, depicting two fishes on a lotus. Dimensions: Measurements are; 82 x 47 x 13 (mm) or 3.23 x 1.85 x 0.51 inches with total weight of 66 grams, no condition concerns. Introduction. Jadeite generally occurs in metamorphic rocks with a higher-pressure origin and is made of interlocking, blocky, granular crystal. The hardness of the Jadeite is usually between 6.5 to 7. Washer bowl decorated with a flaming pearls on the center and clasic scroll on the cavetto, amd chrysantemum scroll on the excerior. Diameter 15.5 cm Broken Yuan dynasty

A brown glaze bowl with white slip of prunus scroll among crescent moon. Late Ming 17th century. Condition is good, only found two minor hairlines and minor chips (restored). Diameter: 11.5cm.

Quite large size polychrome bowl, decorated with green and red enamels of floral scroll. Early Qing dynasty Fujian ware Kangxi period in very good condition, only with minor tiny chips to the foot rim and mouth rim and free from any restoration. Diameter: 17.7cm.

Ca. 1800s

This tea pot is inscribed with Chinese characters on one side, and has a bamboo motif incised on the opposite side. The handle and spout are sculpted to represent knotty tree limbs, and the lid is carved with leaves and stems. The maker's seal is impressed on the interior of the lid. It is in good condition and was acquired from my grandmother's antique shop in the mid 1960s.

A Chinese celadon jade plaque carved on both sides with fish, flowers and aquatic motifs. The border has a series of convex circles. Nice, even colour of the stone. size: 3 inches x 2 3/10 inches. condition; very good, no breaks, no restoration.

Antique Chinese pair of blue and white vases with interesting cobalt underglaze panels of oceanside scene, separated by geometric designs. Each vase has a fluted rim, and recessed areas where the geometric patterns show. The bottoms have a cobalt blue double ring, 18th/19th century. Size: 8.5" height, 4" width at rim

Diameter approximately 25.5cm. Few chips at the rim. Few scratches. In good condition.
