A finely executed painting in gouache and ink, on embossed paper by the British manufacturer Henry Dobbs. Showing a girl with lotus feet, embroidering a silk yardage. Mounted in a blue passe-partout. A good underglaze blue decorated transitional style jar of a type which was produced in Jingdezhen over a long period, from the Wanli through to the end of the Chongzheng reign, for both the export and the internal markets. Condition - there is old restoration to the rim and there is a firing crack (please see enlargements 4 and 6)...

The padlock is made of thick bronze, solid construction, the partitions are thick. There is a secret system to clear the keyhole which is hidden. You can see in the photos the explanation of the system. The bronze has an excellent centuries-old patina and the object is discreetly decorated with chiselling at the ends. The rivets are in the shape of flowers. This padlock is simple but of good quality. The key is lost, but this type of key is technically easy to make. Dimensions: 150x55mm...

Chinese Yuan dynasty blue and white stem-cup decorated with flower motive. 7,8 cm cup diameter. 8,5 cm high. Conditions please see the picture before restorations.

A miniature vase, decorated in underglaze blue with garlands of grapevines. China, Yongzheng to early Qianlong, 18th century. Interestingly, the same decoration has been found on many of the blue and white plates in the cargo of Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg which went down just outside the town with that name in 1745. Height "3 ¼ / 8.3 cm. Condition: an old restoration overpaint to the mouth rim has been removed to leave just the filling (cf. pics).

Ming dynasty Wanli period ( 1573 - 1619 ) blue and white bowl. Rabbit design ! Very nice glaze and a very nice cobalt blue ! Very good condition with no crack and one single very minute restored chip ! D : 14,8 cm.

This late 19th century export white porcelain duck is 7 ½” long, 4 7/8” high and 4” wide. It has a white body and beige beak and feet. Aside from some tiny blisters due to the firing, it is in great condition.
