This is a nicely handcrafted 19th Century Chinese silver teapot. The teapot is crafted in a hexagon shaped body with a uniquely designed spout with beautiful etched works of geeses in the field...

The reason why this bowl is so rare is the fact, that nearly all bowls of this kind of Medallion bowls are " Doucai " bowls on that the underglaze Cobalt - blue outlines of the decoration are filled with overglaze enamels. Sometimes there are also to find such bowls that do show the underglaze blue outlines only, which are for whatever reason still not filled with overglaze enamels. The decoration of such pieces somehow give an " incomplete impression"...

This lidded jar is painted with two lion dogs frolicking among peony flowers, all on an imperial yellow ground. The lid is similarly decorated with a single peony bloom. Both the interiors of the jar and lid are unglazed showing the fine white paste. The inset base is covered in a thin clear glaze with an incised double ring. The footring is unglazed and there is minor soiling to it and to the interior of the jar...

Thinly potted and marked porcelain dish, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with the design of a Crab. Middle Ming Period, fifteenth century. The design of a Crab is common on Kangxi dishes and dishes of later Qing Dynasty Periods. On dishes of the Ming Dynasty the decoration of a Crab is quite rare. Diameter : 11,8 cm. An early 18th Century porcelain tea bowl and saucer decorated in underglaze blue with overgalze iron red and green enamels in "Verte Imari" style. This item was made in China for export to Europe early in the 18th Century, probably during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). . Bowl: 4cm (1.5 inches) high; 7cm (2.75 inches) diameter. Saucer: 11.5cm (4.5 inches) diameter.

Bronze Ming Dynasty censer in the shape of a Buddha's hand citron, a citrus planet originating from China, named so for its resemblance to hand gestures known as mudra, which Buddha is commonly depicted making. The censer's lid has the shape of leaves and the plant sits on its own vines.

A fine Song celedon jarlet olive green in color. Symmetrical with a nice shape and fine sheen to the glaze. Small chip to one side. Dimensions: diameter of 2.25 inches, height 1.50 inches.

Up for sale is this solid and fine seated bronze Guan Yin. It has an old Kanxi mark, but we think this statue dates from the Qing Dynasty in the 19th.cent. and was not made earlier. The statue has a lot of interesting carved ornaments.

This is one of the first tea bowls in Japan, which came together with the first tea from China. It is a Chinese Jian Tenmoku Tea Bowl of the oil-spot type. These bowls were produced in large quantities for the general public as well as for the imperial court between the 10th and and the 13th century in the Fujian province.

This type with the flaring mouth is relatively rare and is shaped in James M. Plummers: Temmoku (Tokyo, 1972), p.63...
