18th century votive Indian bronze sculpture depicting goddess Durga sitting on a lotus base with one foot pending and a little figure of a creature on her left that appears to be a camel. She is holding a dagger, a trident, a hand drum and a jem in her hands, and there are solid gold inlays on her chest and in the middle of her forehead. Durga is the warrior goddess, whose mythology centers around combating evil and demonic forces that threaten peace, prosperity and dharma of the good...

Exceptionally fine and well cast 16/17th Century bronze dancing figure of KRISHNA from Southern India with many details, a wonderful natural patina and clear evidence of prolonged Puja (worship of object). Antique Mandalay Burmese style bronze gilt with silver buddha on a lotus base. The Buddha with earlobes touching shoulders extends his right arm out while the left arm holds his robe aside. The base is rounded. Obtained in Katmandu in the 1960s, made in the 19th century. It measures 6.75" toll 3" in diameter at base.

An extraordinary photo frame made of steel and decorated with scrolling leaf in silver koftgari work, the surface covered with gilt lacquer. The back embellished with geometric pattern. Antique 19th century South India, Tamil Nadu finely cast, copper alloy figure of dancing Hindu deity Krishna on a lotus plinth. Depicting the Lord Krishna dancing victoriously on Kaliya Naga and holding a ball of butter in his right hand, his rounded body adorned by belts with hanging bells and other jewelry, his face with almond-shaped eyes and a raised urna centered between his arched brows, his hair arranged in neat rows and surmounted by a round lotus bud finial...

This is a large fragment from a pink sandstone statue of Bhairava, a wrathful avatar of Shiva. The piece is in exceptional condition as a fragment with little or no wear. The darkened area on the tip of the nose is where worshipers have been touching the statue over the centuries, leaving a "sweat" residue. Very finely carved and, as noted, in excellent condition. The piece measures just over 4 inches in height. Mounted on a large clear plastic base (included)...

18th century Indian bronze votive sculpture of Ganesha sitting on a square base, his trunk turned to its left, with his vahana (vehicle) - a bandicoot rat - in front of him, and holding his usual attributes. There is a protective naga (cobra) discernible wrapped around his waist. Ganesha is the remover of obstacles, and thus is invoked before any new undertaking. He bestows good luck on his worshippers, and is invoked in marriage ceremonies and in some forms of Tantric worship...
