18th century Indian bronze votive sculpture of dancing Krishna playing a flute, cast in the State of Orissa. This avatar of Vishnu playing flute for gopis is known as Krishna Venugopala (as always in this image, flute was cast separately, and is missing). Excellent casting and detailing (see his eyes inlaid with silver), wonderful face, beautiful patina, very pleasant feel of age to the sculpture. Height 5 7/8 inches.

A pair woman's Paduka in fish form, made of hardwood and inlaid with brass wire. Base inscribed "Hindu bath sandals" and "Anna Broadwood". A similar pair in the Bata Shoe Museum Collection in Toronto. Dimension: c. 22 cm long, 8.8 cm wide, total height: 8.4 cm. Condition: few traces of usage, a short section with missing wire (see picture no. 2).

A very attractive and rare early Indian votive representation of buddha, c. 16th.-17th. century or even earlier.

A smaller standing figure of buddha wearing with a long cape and crown and adorned with jevellery, remnants of gilt(?), 8,8 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice and intact with a wonderful warm redish brass patina.

Antique 18th-19th century miniature Indian Hindu bronze Shiva shrine from Western India in the form of a courtyard, Shiva and his family seated around a lingam, including his wife Parvati in her Annapurna manifestation and his son Ganesh, and the Shiva's Vahana Nandi at the entrance.

CONDITION: It shows its age and use with age-related wear and patina.

A walking cane or parasol handle made of silver with fine repousse and chased decoration of three ascetics and Lord Krishna playing the flute amidst cottages and trees. With a dated and inscribed cartouche in shield form, top with monogram, unmarked. Condition: one dent, short split, top slightly dented. Dimension: length: 24.3 cm.

An attractive brass or white bronze alter / shrine of Virabhadra (Shiva with attendants), Western India, difficult to date, but we think it's at least 18th.-19th. century, but likely somewhat older.

The upper hands are holding Vishnu’s attributes (Chakra and Shankha) and the lower hands are holding Shiva’s attributes (staff and begging bowl). Rare icon,. wonderful casting, beautiful devotional wear, excellent patina, traces of red sandalwood paste used during worship. Height 2 3/8 inches.

An Mughal Indian Brass Water Flask, Surai. The elegant vessel with a screw top. Heavily cast and with turned decoration. Deccan, N India 19thc. Height: 11 3/4" (29.8 cm). Condition; very good, has been polished.

Unusual 19th century Indian votive bronze bell with handle in a shape of monkey God Hanuman with his hands in front of him in praying attitude, his tail forming a halo around his head. Very nice casing and detailing, beautiful patina. Produces beautiful melodious sound, overall in excellent condition. Height with handle 3 15/16 inches.
