This is rare Japanese Oribe Yaki Hina Dolls set by Japanese Artist. Artist name written on the back side of Emperor. Left side written as "Okina Senichi Saku" (Okina mean old men in Japanse, Senichi made). I checked calligraphy for this artist name. It came up as Senichi...

This is a very fine Japanese Satsuma shallow footed bowl. As can be seen in the images the workmanship is top level. It is 4 5/8 inches across and 1 1/2 inches tall. The piece is in excellent condition.

From our Japanese Collection, a very fine satsuma vase, Meiji Period (1868-1912), most likely circa 1900 -1910, marvelously potted in an unusual but very elegant flared trumpet shape exhibiting definite Art Nouveau Period influences, and yet decorated in what would be considered restrained Japanese taste with simple and classic floral motifs...

This is a wonderful little censer from one of the great Meiji era satsuma artists. This beautiful piece glows with quality and is like looking at a fine jewel. Signed Shizan on the underside and the remains of an import sticker can still be seen. Condition is excellent. It measures 3 tall and is 3 1/4 wide.

Antique Japanese bush holder made of ceramic with highly raised scenes of fu-dogs, one glazed a buff color, the other blue. They stand with characteristic whimsical expressions on mossy rocks out of which bloom large peony flowers in white and pale pink. There are 5 holes in the top for brushes.

This is a very fine and unusual Japanese Satsuma vase with relief figures. The work on this piece is highly detailed and the gold thickly applied. The Dragon and clouds are decorated with silver. The piece is in very good condition will minor wear. The Artist signature is the most worn area on the piece. With magnification it can be seen that it is signed Fuzan but it is very hard to make out. I have included a similar Fuzan mark for comparison. The vase stands 8 1/2 inches tall.

Japanese Satsuma pot with geisha and floral landscape to the top; fine Samurai and adornments on the interior; signed; minimal age related wear

A very nice Japanese, Meiji Period (1868-1911) drum form Satsuma lidded box with two faux molded handles to the sides. The exterior and interior of box and lid each are decorated with scenes. Signed on bottom, it measures 5.5 inches diameter, 3" high.

This is an exquisite satsuma cup and saucer set. The work is very finely detailed and difficult to pick up with the camera. Saucer is 4 1/4 inches across. Cup is 3 3/4 inches across at the handle. Both pieces in nearly mint condition and both are signed Matsumoto Hozan.

An Attractive Pair of Turquoise and Aubergine Glazed Vases. The ovoid body with flaring rim. Kyoto Awaji, Japan Meiji Period. Height; 15.7 cm. Condition; usual glaze fritting to foot. One vase is perfect the other has a glaze frit to the rim with an associated bruise 1.2 cm.

Circa 1910, Japanese Satsuma covered jar raised on three legs with a foo lion finial on the lid. Heavily gilded on a blue ground fading to green on the bottom. Flower and butterfly motif. Signed on bottom. Measures 12.5 inches high.

Fine Japanese Satsuma scalloped bowl; depicts Geisha sitting and conversing in a central cartouche; all surrounded by the finest gilt and polychrome chrysanthemums and detailed diaper work; the reverse decorated in florals; signed Fuzan

This is a wonderful Meiji Era Satsuma tray from Seikozan. The detail is outstanding but the condition is even better. The condition of this piece is pristine and like new or the day it left the workshop. In fact, this piece is the finest preserved example of Meiji era Satsuma we have ever had. Ironically, we found a small factory repair to one of the corners. We ran tests and it is absolutely a gold covered Seikozan factory repair (See last image).

A small but highly detailed Satsuma vase decorated with Sino-Japanese motifs. On one side of the vase is literati scholars enjoying a conversation bordered with a detailed geometric pattern. On the other side, is depicting a peony set near a bamboo and rush gate, small repairs on neck. Age: Meiji Period Size: Diameter 3" Height 6.25"

Japanese Satsuma Earthenware Koro, Incense Burner, on Tripod feet and two(2) Elephant Handles, signed "Senzan", Ca. Meiji period 1910, 5" high include Foo Dog top, 6 1/4" wide include 2 handles, ladies and Gentlemen in Japanese traditional clothes within several circles between multiple bands of flowers, Gold Foo Lion knob and 3 heart shape openings on top. The condition is good except tiny frit inside the rim on the bottom piece.
