A Rare Korean Fine White Glazed Baluster Shape Porcelain Jar-18th C.: Korea, Joseon Period, 18th century. The finely potted baluster form with bulbous shouler and tapering waist and raised mouth rim, decorated with an overall warm and slilght blue tinged white glaze applied, some areas slightly discolored in firing. It’s in fine condition but a small chip repaired near the foot (see photo #2), otherwise very fine condition, it measures 10.25” h. x 8” (26cm x 20.8cm).

A small bottle of very fine and rare beautiful blue glazed, of compressed globular form set on a short ring foot with tall, cylindrical neck ending in a rolled lip, brushed overall with cobalt blue under fine and clear white glaze, the recessed base and inside of the moutn glazed white. Antique Korean large blue and white porcelain jar, with a long, oval shaped body. Cobalt underglaze sparrows and pomegranates on branches decorate the body, with a collar of ruyi motifs along the base of the neck. The foot has a single ring above it in cobalt blue. Choson Dynasty 19th century.

A large Korean celadon glazed stoneware bowl with incised decoration of a pair of stylised birds, presumably Pheonixes or possibly Cranes. The bowl dates to the late 11th or the 12th century. The bowl measures 8 inches in diameter and stands 2.5 inches high at the rim. There is one extremely fine hairline crack to the rim that is scarcely visible to to the naked eye. There are no chips, frits cracks or restoration. Additional images on request.

We proudly like to offer a 400 year old perfect Korean Gohon Ido shape chawan.

The fine, little iron bearing clay has been mixed with sand (suna gohon) and thrown into an ido shape widening towards the rim.

The light body is covered with a clear, little greyish ash glaze, reacting with the iron oxide in the body to develop the pink spots typical for that kind of Gohon bowls.
