A Meiping shape vase. The well potted porcelain body decorated with the incised decor of a dragon and covered with a very nice, intensive yellow glaze. Underglaze cobalt blue six character Guangxu mark. Qing Dynasty, Guangxu period ( 1875 - 1908 ) H : 14,3 cm. Condition : Perfect

Height approximately 11.1 cm. There glaze disappears with age. In good condition.

A Very Fine Incised Lotus Petal Sea Green Celadon Glazed Oil Bootle-12th C.: Korea, Koryo priod, 12th Century Thr squat global body, on raised ring foot, with narrow neck and cup-shaped mouth, incised lotus petal design, beneath a rich clear suffused green celadon glaze, it’s in fine condition but two chips and repairs in real gold, it measures 6.7cm d. x 4.5cm h.

A rare Song dynasty longquan celadon conical bowl, good condition no damage no chip crack or restoration please see picture for detail, size: 12 cm diameter.

A set of three Chin puppies by Miyagwa (Makuzu) Kozan II published in the book Miyagawa Kozan and the World of Makuzu Ware (Yokohama Museum of Art, 2001) page 144, figure 174. They are roughly 5 x 10 cm (2 x 4 inches) and in excellent condition. They come enclosed in the original signed wooden box...

Antique Japanese tansu chest, made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. The tansu has four large drawers, the bottom two of which are locked with a vertical locking bar also made of kiri wood. The two top drawers have wonderful large iron lock plates in the shape of peony flowers with raised flower buds. The corners of each drawer are reinforced with chrysanthemum shaped ironwork. The lower right side has a safe box with a hinged door reinforced with iron cross bracing...

This is a high quality and very refined pair of Japanese Cloisonne vases. Though not quite as prolific work as on some pieces, the quality is very high. With almost pitless enamel and a high highly sheen, these vases glow. Condition is excellent and these vases are 4 3/4 inches tall.

Small ceramic cup of celadon color, with crackled glazing. China, Ming Dynasty. Diameter: 12,2 cm. Height: 3.3 cm. Slight abrasion, otherwise very good condition.

19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved in a shape of standing Okame wearing a long robe and sporting a compass in the front. Possibly had a face in the opening above the compass, but I am not entirely sure. Nicely made, good patina, compass is functional. Height 0.7 inches.

Japanese Takeda Samurai doll from late Edo to early Meiji, 1800s. Takeda dolls were made to model Kabuki actors and puppet dolls from the late Edo period (1603-1868). The doll is possibly Benkei, a faithful retainer to Yoshitsune (Minamoto).

Many stories were written based on Benkei and Yoshitsune (Minamoto, Genji family). They first met on the bridge of Gojyo in Kyoto when Benkei challenged Yoshitsune...

This polychrome piece was made in Imari with Kakiemon-style in last 18th century. It has been transmitted from generation to generation in Japan with wooden box. Tsuba in cut iron, details inlaid in solid gold. The characters are excessively in relief, thickness of the tsuba 4.8 mm and 9.6 mm for the characters. Diameter: 76mm. Decor representing Jô and Uba with their broom and rake under a pine tree. This refers to the legend of 2 lovers who, united for life, were very happy and together became very old. They died the same day at the same time. Their spirit lives in 2 old pines, one in Sumi-Yoshi and one on the beach of Taka-Sago...

Probably Ming dynasty or earlier. Artist unknown. Ink and color on paper, no mounting or framing. The painting depicts a scholar resting under a tree and five oxen by the river. The painting has a long rip next to the black ox, and a noticeable damage at the bottom of the paper. Please see pictures for more details.

A Longquan Celadon dish, covered overall with olive green glaze, founded from a deep of sea in Selayar Island, South Sulawesi. Condition restored a nail chip missing to rim, otherwise in good condition. Song/Yuan Dynasty. Diameter: 21.2 cm

Antique Japanese silver kanzashi, the upper design part is gold plated with finely engraved three oak leaves. *This was one of the most popular crests among the warrior samurai class particularily among close devotees of Shinto. Top quality hand cut metal work. Circa (we think) Meiji period (1868-1912). 6 3/4" long and 1 3/8" in width.

19th century wooden netsuke of standing Saigyo Hoshi with his attributes of a large hat and a staff as he looks upward toward the summit of Mount Fuji. Saigyo Hoshi was a member of the Fujiwara clan, a poet and a priest, as well as a military advisor to the Shogun Yoritomo. Netsuke is beautifully carved out of kurogaki (black persimmon wood) with excellent face and wonderful flow to the lines of the robe. Wear consistent with age, beautiful characteristic sheen to the surface it the wood...
