This mini snuff bottle is formed from copper and decorated with brass wire and turquoise. The writting is Mongolian (not Tibetan) and there is one stone missing on each side. The bottle is a scarce 1.25 inches high.

A Japanese Arita lobed dish decorated with a dragon descending from clouds, grasping the pearl of wisdom. The back with a fuku mark. The dish dates from 1750~1790. A similar design to Chinese examples of the Yongzheng period.

Approximately 14 cm diameter. Perfect condition. A little kiln dross in the cloud.

A mukuzuke or serving dish of raised barbed lotus form with a moulded ribbed cavetto decorated in underglaze blue with gilt outlined enamels dating to circa 1740-70. The unusual form of the dish follows Chinese “Ko Sometsuke” precedents of the first half of the 17th century; see “The Peony Pavillion” lot 220 for a Chinese example of the Chongzhen period, where this particular form is considered to have been especially made for the kaiseki meal accompanying the Tea ceremony. A small eggshell-thin dish with a decoration of two birds and two fan-shaped panels - one with a landscape, the other with a poem (?), all in a variety of colours, 19th c. Wing of one bird has been painted as to conceal a glaze bubble, an indication of age. Overglaze red marks: Hirado san, Mikawachi. Diameter "5 ½/ 13 cm. Condition: fine.

A Ming Dynasty Plate with Blue and White floral patterns. Two inch section of rim has some wear and small hairline and small chip on innerside of base rim. Diameter: 7.50 inches, Height: 1.50 inches.

Very nice carving - see its ferocious face, mane and ribs. Beautiful wear, wonderful warm patina, in excellent condition. Height 3/4 inches.

A bowl or cup of unusual Klapmuts form with an angled everted rim decorated in under-glaze blue with Auntumn grasses, akikusa. Shards of identical cups have been excavated from the Okawachi kiln site and dated to the late Edo period and the first half of the Nineteenth century. The bowl measures 9.8cm in diameter and stands 6.8cm high and the foot-ring measures 3.4cm in diameter. It is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration...

Cup and saucer with decoration of pine trees and flowers in Imari colours and gilt. Japan, Arita c 1920, with mark for Aoki Brothers / Aoki Kyodai-Shokai. Diameter of saucer "5 ¾ / 14.3 cm, height of cup "1 ¾ / 4.5 cm. Condition: rim of cup with small glaze bubble.

A Japanese Arita porcelain Kakiemon style dish, circa 1720~1750 The square dish with indented corners, the rim with a deep kuchibeni brown rim, the centre with a gobenka motif. The cavetto is decorated with flowers and grasses amongst rocks. Tiny touches of coloured enamels have been applied to the design, a style first seen in the early 18th century. Within the foot-rim can be found a six-character imitation of a Chinese Ming Chenghua reign mark ‘Daimin Seika Nensei’...

An unusual Arita dish of typical scalloped rinka form decorated with a variant of the so-called “Sweet Pea” pattern. A Chinese export pattern largely produced for the South East Asian Market and in particular for Chinese communities living there. This dish was probably made for the Japanese domestic market as a novelty, or it may possibly have been made for the Asian export Market. The elaborate vine arabesque is painted in pencilled style. Japanese black lacquered woven Bamboo Trunk, Meiji period, early 1900's, 11" high, 25" x 15" wide, with large and heavy black iron handles supported by wooden board on both side, paper lining inside and metal hinges on top to open one side of the top cover. This Bamboo Trunk is good to storing Dolls and other necessary light weight items. There are some black lacquer loses on the surface.

19th century ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in drum shape body made out of dark hardwood and staghorn, and a functioning compass on top. Very pleasant patina, in excellent condition. Diameter 5/8 inches. Wooden stand used for photography is not included.
