Chinese Nyonya Ware plate with a foliated base painted with pomegranates, peaches and bats symbolizing fruitfulness, prosperity and happiness. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nonya ware. Rare and beautiful group of 120 Han Dynasty glass beads: 118 small beads, and 2 larger beads. A range of color from green to yellow and other that are calcified white with age. Some round and some foliate shape. A range of size from 5/16" to 3/4" wide. Strung together for a total of approx. 20" long strand. Han Dynasty (206 B.C. to 220 A.D.)

Interesting intact amulethic seal in a fine semi-translucent green stone, rarely used for seals, Mesopotamia, probably costal region, 3rd.-2nd. mill. BC.

Japanese Meiji period cloisonné enamel lidded square form kashiki (confectionery box for tea ceremony sweets) with canted corners supported on four attached tapered and splayed legs. The lid is decorated with a variety of fans of varying shapes and designs set against a black ground; the sides are covered in a dense floral diaper pattern in blue, yellow, and brown; and the bottom is decorated in clusters of flowers and scrolling foliage set against a black background...

Antique Japanese zenibako also know as a money safe box. Original deep lacquer finish, hinged lid with Iron handle and money slot beside it. A very attractive seal of an impressive size for a hemispheric stamp, Mesopotamia, c. 4th. mill. BC.

Interesting Ubad-early Uruk stamp seal from Mesopotamia. The seal round with drilling to the back, quite flat and carved with geomethric lines.

Large Song Dynasty bowl with incised designs and an olive brown glaze. Some apparent wear on glaze around rim with small chip. There are no cracks or hairlines. Diameter is 10 inches and height is +3 inches.

 

Rich patina jizaikagi hearth fish from the Taisho Period C.1920. The pot stabalizers had an iron rod through the fish that went up into a long bamboo pole that had an iron hook on the bottom to hold the iron pot over the hearth fire in old japanese farm houses. Length: 11" x 7" tall. Ask for shipping quote.

Gilt iron plate, of rounded triangular shape, finely cast in openwork, to represent a dragon in relief in clouds. Four coral inlays enhance the beauty of the plate. This plate is likely to have been part of a saddle decoration. Tibet, 18th century. The plate is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Length: 15.6 cm. Height: around 9 cm. Oxydation at the back due to age, otherwise very good condition.

This 19th century Japanese wood netsuke of KIKORI (woodcutter) is 1 3/8 inches tall, 1 ½ inches wide and 1 1/8 inches thick. It depicts a sitting woodcutter, his left hand holds an ax; his right hand holds a double gourd wine container. A bundle of tree branches leans on his side. It is carved from an unknown hard wood and is not signed. It is in great condition.

This beautiful green jasper Heart Scarab is 1/2" (13 mm) long and dates to ~900 BC. Inscribed Heart Scarabs were placed over a mummy’s heart to keep it from revealing any sin during its ‘Weighing of the Heart.’ Smaller, uninscribed Heart Scarabs, like this one, were introduced ~1000 BC.
