Rare Ming Dynasty ewer resp. pouring vessel in the shape of a duck. The piece is not really a Sancai, because Sancai means 3 colours, and this duck is just in a very nice green. Erthenware with lead glaze. There is a - not simmilair, but compareable piece in the book : Oriental Trade Ceramics in South - East Asia ( John S. Guy ) page 103, Nr.91. A Very Rare/Fine Black Soapstone with Yellow Spots Octagonal Brush Pot: Korea, early 19th century. This is very unusual brush pot with upright circular section, the straight sides with octagonal body decorated with a yellow spots colored on black soapstone, set on a flattened base. It�fs in fine condition but a small chip on the mouth rim, measures 12.5cm h. x 11.6cm d.

This very well painted early 20th century Chinese porcelain vase is 9” high and 4” on the widest part. It depicts a lady sitting on a garden rock in front of a cherry blossom reading book; a young maid is standing next to her watching. A poem is written on the other side of the vase and signed by the artist Hong Jin-Hao. The vase has two gold handles of the shape of bats and maker’s mark on the bottom. This ivory carving of the goddess of mercy, Guan-Yin, is an early 20th century product. It depicts Guan-Yin holding a pearl in one hand and a vase in the other. There is a tiny sitting Buddha in her hair. It is 9” high (with fitted hard wood base it is 10” high), 2 ½” wide and 1 1/8” thick. The carving is superb and it is in excellent condition.
