Wonderful large carved wooden face of a man. His mouth is open wide and whiskers splay outward. He has a wide nose and large eyes. He appears to be wearing an oval shaped hat on which is carved an animal of some sort with long striped tail and clawed feet. The wood is beautifully worn from years of weather and rain. There are traces of white and yellow paint. Thailand. Early 19th century. Size: 24" high x 17" wide x 3 1/2" deep.

Ewer is in good condition with spout broken off and re attach and covered with silver mounted, complete condition on handle and bodies still original.

A rare late Ming Jiajing Wanli blue and white bowl, rounded side with deep center and glazed base, bowl decorated with under glaze blue of triagram motif at exterior, base with four Chinese character mark.

An interesting 19th century taibaizun water pot, covered with an even layer of peachbloom glaze and enameled with two dragons playing amongst waves. The base is marked with a very well written Kangxi six-character kaishu mark in underglaze blue...

Wonderful Chinese Yixing teapot. A light red clay color, with simple and quaint design. Pot is smooth and round, and in beautiful condition. Small spout and looped handle. Impressed seal on bottom, as well as marked on bottom of lid. Teapot includes box. Circa 1920 Dimensions: 7.5" Long from handle to spout 3" High

From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, an absolutely superb Kangxi Mark and Period Charger, 1662-1722, depicting an elegant lady in a garden pavilion tending to a lit censer while her servant stands adjacent with a ruyi-shaped fan. An egret flies overhead and two rabbits sit in the foreground beneath a banana leaf plant. On the outer rim, there are four cartouches of other elegant ladies interspersed with four cartouches of flowering plants, all separated by key fret reserves...

Early Ming Dynasty Chenghua period ( 1465 - 1487 ) blue and white minyao ( peoplesware ) bowl. Very nice watery cobalt blue and waterplant design, all typical for this period . D : 4,1 inc. Perfect condition !

A excellent potted shape, a excellent glaze and Cobalt blue, a excellent execution of the decoration - this dish is definitely done in an Imperial quality. Ming Chenghua mark but Qing Dynasty, probably of the Kangxi Period ( 1662 - 1722 ) There are also Daoguang dishes with a quite similar Dragon design but if this piece would be a Daoguang dish it most probably would bear a Daoguang mark. Kangxi pieces often are marked with a Ming Quenghua mark - thus the Chenghua Mark on this dish together ...

The qian is often seen in Daoist temples in the form of a collection of bamboo sticks placed in a bamboo cup and devotees will shake the cup to receive their fortune or oracle from the gods. The front of the panel contains an inscription stating this qian is of the formal troop of an army emanating their highest powers (or divine powers). the back of the piece also has an inscription which most of it is lost...
