Large and rare two-coloured and two-sided Egyptian faience Wedjat Eye.
The Wedjat Eye is open-worked, the two-coloured side is convex and the other flat.

Burmese wooden Buddha sitting in Mara Vijaya (calling the earth to witness) posture on a base, with meditative facial expression, gilded and decorated with inlay of colorful glass pieces on the headband and the borders of the robe. A square composite panel made of antique embroideries from the Greek islands (Ottoman Empire). The basic fabrics are different plain cotton weaves, embroidered with silk or wool and metal wrapped threads. Traces of former mounting, maybe as a pillow cover. A pair lovely unmounted figural staves, unusually large and detailed for the type, comes with a deep natural patina from old age.
These two figures known as edan have been cast in brass over iron rods. Each is a seated figure of the opposite sex. They are linked by a chain attached to loops to the tops of their heads. The figures resemble Onile, the owner of the earth, in both male and female forms.
