An early 18th Century deep dish with very fine porcelain body decorated in underglaze blue depicting a four clawed dragon, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of a flaming pearl. This item was made in Jingdezhen, Jianxi province, during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723 - 1735). Condition - there are two hairline cracks (1.7 and 1.5 inches) and associated chips and frits to the rim in the area facing the dragon's right claw (please see enlargement no. 4). A rare and very finely enamelled small vase. On the base is the iron red hall mark - Ju ren tang zhi - "Made for the hall where one dwells in benevolence". The mark is often attributed to the brief reign of the Honxian emperor (circa 1915- 1916) but this item was probably made a little later. Condition - excellent, no damages and no restoration...

This very well carved late 19th century wood netsuke of a coiled snake is 2 ½” long, 1 ½” wide and 1” high. It is in excellent condition.

A rare wine ewer, with warming pot, depicting the famous Tang Dynasty "drunken" poet Li Bai (701 - 762), with one of his best known poems and another inscribed on the warmer. Both poems are signed by the same calligrapher. This item carries the reign mark of the Tongzhi emperor (1862 - 1874)but was probably made a little later during the Guangxu reign (1875-1908). Condition - there are chips to the edges of the warmer (please see enlargement 1)...

This pair of Chinese archer rings with wood stands and caps is a product of late 19th century. They are 1 3/16” high (the darker one is a little shorter), 1 3/8” in diameter and a quarter of an inch thick. They are 2 ½” high with the carved wood stands and caps. The two knobs are made from natural red coral. They are in excellent condition and look great on a scholar’s desk.

This Chinese carved jade (jadeite) brush washer is a product of the early 20th century. It depicts a lotus leaf and a blossom on its side. It is 5 ¼” long, 3” wide and half an inch thick. It is in excellent condition.

A scarce 18th Century U-shaped bowl decorated with iron red and very finely painted "famille rose" enamels depicting the Bajixiang - the Eight Buddhist Treasures - between key-fret and ruyi bands. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) and is of the period. A rare and very well painted enamel wine ewer - with documentary decoration in Chinese taste possibly depicting the story of the Daoist Immortal Lu Dong Bin. This item was made circa 1740 during the reign of the Qianlong emperor. Very beautiful and detailed antique figure of Uga Benzaiten, she is carved of wood and painted with colored and gilt lacquer, she has eight arms each holding a different Buddhist objects, her elaborate crown is made of metal and includes glass beads which hang down and a torii gate which stands at the top, one of the details specific to Uga Benzaiten is the coiled snake that sits on top of her head with the head of a man, Edo Period...

Two Beautiful late 19th to early 20th C. Signed Chinese porcelain snuff bottles. Charming detail, animated. One with colorful figures against green-colored ground, other is with nine lions playing a ball. Both are handcrafted but both without top. Both in excellent condition. Dimensions: H: 2-1/3".

This antique Burmese betel nut box contains matching serving tray and 4 small containers. The side of the box is circled with an excellent example of the Burmese schwezawa technique of gold leaf in a striking swirling chu-pan foliage design. The top has a lively chinthe, a traditional Burmese stylized "lion" figure with a vine and leaf foliage border.
