Measuring 7 1/2" from beak to tail and 5 1/4" high to top of crest, this bronze is in excellent condition, with all the origonal paint. The detail in both the casting and paint is very fine, and the figure is life size and life like. It is signed on the belly and tail with Bergmann's "B" in an urn, with the Austria stamp, and KF in a diamond lozenge. In addition, on the tail, the mark of Carl Kauba is also stamped, which is unusual, and may have been done for marketing purposes...

Exceptional quality and large size, this carved marble lamb measures 5 7/8" high, with a base of 8 1/4" x 5 1/8". It is substantial, weighing 9 pounds and 12 ounces. The detailing of the lamb's fur, face and overall form is excellent, with a nicely beveled base. In very good condition, with expected surface wear and ears all intact, which is rare.
